this place was decent, i went back in the end of may.. we got the racklette, all you can eat. i think it was about $30. total was $45 with a beer and a coffee. i should have forced myself to eat more since it was all you can eat, but yea you get some decent stuff.. unlimited bacon, sausage, salad, pickles, onions, eggs, cheese, cold cuts, etc.. you just fry it up on an electric skillet. did not try anything else on their menu..
they have a nice terrace outside, but when we went it was full of these really disgusting bugs.. they were tiny, furry & black bugs that created a sort of spider-like silk web. they were all over the place those bugs, i dunno if they didn't notice them or what but i think they could have cleaned those things up a bit? maybe it's just the season and there's nothing to be done, but i live in montreal but never saw those bugs before.
other than putting up with the bugs (we kind of said screw it did our best to put it out of our minds.. maybe we should have told the waiter something, i dunno).. it was definitely satisfying though, i ate a lot and was full for the rest of the day. if you like to eat a lot of meat and cheese the racklette...

No flavour and chewy. The lamb couscous was similarly bland and more of a chore to eat. Salad tasted like the bagged salad from grocery stores. Escargot was average. Sad to say, the best part of the meal was the chilled Coca Cola I got which was great for the hot day. The prices are cheap for the area which is usually expensive (entrees were ~$17 each) and it was cozy inside.
Avoid, there's other reasonably-priced places that are far better in the area if...

It did not disappoint. We had a simple cafe au lait and an almond croissant. We never had anything better the next 3 days, not for a lack of eating our way around Vieux Quebec!😀. We would love to recreate your cafe au lait at home …can you share the type of coffee you use and what kind of milk? Maybe it’s a trade secret! You can PM me on FB. We have been sending people your way because you have a great memory...
