Stayed there for 4 nights with family of 5. We stayed there for three times. Stay was good and comfortable. Cleaning staff only knew French and it was very hard to communicate with them if you don’t know French. Courtesy level went down over the years and room rates went up. We spent more than $2k but imagine there was not even single water bottle in the room at check in. Even at check out, we saw few guests were given water bottles and when we asked for single small bottle, imagine the answer the person at counter gave “they were valued Hilton Honours members and only they will get water bottles.” Even the hotel management don’t want to spend even quarter of a dollar on guests who spends thousand of dollars. Asking $15 plus tax per day for microwave is also unjustified if hotel is already charging high end prices. Bathroom door’s lock was also not working and it took quite a while to fix that and we had to go in the lobby’s bathroom downstairs. Asked a question on hotel’s text message service and the answer never came ( see photo). We as a family are quite disappointed on the Hilton’s management and their emerging policies. Our family wear head scarves/ hijab and question also arises whether the Hilton management’ policy of inclusiveness might have been changed when they declined to give small water bottle at check out. Small advice to Hilton Hotels management is that small small courtesies make big big positive impressions.

Great location and views (I had a room with a river/old town view)...but I feel like the staff are prejudiced/snobby and looked down on me because of my appearance...or worse. I'm a frequent business and leisure traveller and I even have Hilton Honours status, but this is the first time I've ever been to a hotel where not a single staff member smiled at me or my family (they smiled at other customers). In fact, their facial expressions and they way they spoke to me was very unwelcoming....the doorman, bellhop, desk staff...no one...it was very weird and I've never experienced that in the hundreds of nights I've stayed in hotels around the world. The staff even let a couple cut in line ahead of me because they were loudly yelling they had Hilton Honours...but I also had Hilton Honours WITH STATUS...so why would the staff let the other people cut in line ahead of me? I feel that the did this because I arrived tired with my family after a hike (I had hiking gear on), so I didn't look like a typical guest...or at worse some other reason (I'm of Asian descent although my family arrived in Canada in the 1800s...the couple they let cut in front of me was white). Maybe my imagination is running wild, but either way, it's not very professional behaviour of the staff.

I just wanna share my experience at this specific Hilton. I came here for two days. I had to pay a surplus of $45 for parking plus an extra fee every time I wanted to do an outing so for that two days, I did not leave often as I wanted to. What I did enjoy was the breakfast that was provided with the price of the room if you happen to be also subscribed with Hilton . Absolutely no coffee machines in the hotel that are accessible independently. So no more coffee until they decide to serve coffee. The coffee machine in the hotel room is disgusting didn’t work and did not cut it Kind of an odd location. You definitely need to drive to go to any known restaurants or places. This area is mainly monumental. As a smoker, this hotel is a non-smoking hotel because they have no balconies. I wanted a cigarette at 3:30 in the morning while I went hunting for a coffee I went in the hallway in my robe as I’ve made my commute to the parking lot. The security guard thought it was a very good idea to follow me at 3:30 in the morning into a private parking lot. I voiced that I’m just smoking my cigarette. I didn’t wanna be cold outside so I came in the parking lot. There was no threat and the fact that I was in a robe this security guard was doing a little more than his job entitled. Following a girl at 3:30 in the morning in a parking lot, whether your security guard or not is retarded. Now let’s talk about how there was not any conditioner in my bathroom nor the pools bathroom and when I asked for reception, they gave me a 1 ounce shot of conditioner. Absolutely no toothpaste is provided here either or sold here. The hairdryers that were provided were covered in lint hair and debris and smelled like a fire hazard as soon as you turned them on, so I don’t suggest drying your hair in the pool area or even in your bedroom The free breakfast that they provided was a layout of 5 to 8 warm plates prepared, but they were not on rotation often enough and they restocked the plates very very, very, very slow slowly almost purposely so everybody would only have one portion. And this is also where they provide coffee but only under surveillance lol ridiculous. The gift shop lady has seen better days. Poor girl looks worn out. I work in Construction so I can’t relate to her. So-called hard work. Overall, my view was stunning however, I wished there was balconies Breakfast was nice but needs to be topped off more People should have the freedom to have coffee whenever they feel like it then there should be a coffee machine provided in the reception area because the ones in the rooms are disgusting The pool area was cool but it’s packed with kids so you won’t enjoy yourself lol The gym that’s overlooking the pool is a cool layout however, I feel like that should be a daycare instead .. Was it worth the price I paid ? I don’t think so I was there for Easter and the decorations for the children were very very, very, very cheap. In fact it was only a couple of eggs in the reception area that were inaccessible to the kids anyway so whoever is saying that the decorations were amazing. Please provide proof of that lol I’m sorry there’s a lot that could’ve been done that just wasn’t they made a lot of...

My stay in this hotel on Last August is awful. The room type I booked is the one king bed with river view.

At the date I check in, I arrived earlier than the check in time, the receptionist said my room is not prepared yet, but there are a room on 3rd floor(she also mentioned the room type is the same as the one I booked). After a long trip, I was tired and really need some rest so I took it. But the view of the room is far away from the description of river view. But maybe the room on higher floor would be better. So above is just for your reference.

What made me feel terrible is not because the view but the terrible sanitary condition. At the first night of my staying, I found there are some ants crawling on the floor which shocked me as hell. After I contacted the staff, they sent a cleaner to my room and she tried to use the vacuum to clean those ants. The lady was nice, but I still can see a part of their attitude to handle cleaning when she randomly throw the towel on the floor. I know the towel would be washed before next use. But still, the towel in the bathroom would be used directly on people’s skins. Maybe some people doesn’t care that, but I do care a lot. (That’s why I always bring my own towel when go to hotel). This is not that lady’s fault, but the fault on the hotel about the way of training their staff.

Anyway, after the cleaner left, I found there are still a lots of ants crawling on the floor. And I found they were all coming from the gap in the wall. So I have to contact the staff again. This time they changed a room for me. The new room looked better at first cause there are no any ants. Until I found the bed sheet has some red marks. But I didn’t contact the staff for the red marks cause I always bring my own bed sheet to hotel and I don’t want to be an annoying customer. However, the worse is coming….the water supply in my room is cut off. So I had to contact the staff again and they said all the water supply was temporarily cut off because some maintenance issues and it will be back in 20 mins. But when the water came back is after an hour. What’s more, the water came out after the cut off was dirty as hell. Until another 40mins to an hour, the water became clean.

But after that night, my arms suddenly have some red dot appearing, I’m not sure, but I doubt that’s because...

Stayed 2 nights at the Hilton Québec while on a trip to the city and found the hotel to be clean , modern, big and still looking good since it's 2020/21 renovations.||Checkin was quick and although it was before the 3 p.m. checkin time, the room was ready and given to me early which was great . My room was on the 19th floor ( of 23) and had an amazing view over the parliament building. The window was quite big which made the room feel a little small but it was a good size nonetheless.||The king bed was clean and very , very comfortable. There was a small desk area and chair which you angle so you could admire the view. There was a fridge, kettle to make tea/coffee. Wifi worked well and easy to connect with. The TV had a wide range of Canadian & US stations.||The bathroom was perfectly fine, no tub, just a large shower cubicle with shower gel/shampoo/conditioner dispensers fixed to the wall. The towels were a little threadbare in places and past their best unfortunately. The sink area was large with plenty of space for your toiletries and the mirror was good. ||Breakfast was amazing , great choice of everything from cooked to cold items, ask your server if you want fried or poached eggs. Great choice of fruits and pastries or make your own waffles. Do make sure you try the pain perdu or the baked brie for breakfast , you will not be disappointed but you will be full up !||The swimming pool is worth a visit for a quick dip as the water is heated so it's good fun to be swimming outside in the cold air and see the steam rise from the water.||There are 6 elevators so you never have to wait very long for one to arrive. The lobby and common areas were all kept immaculately clean. ||All of the staff which I encountered from checking in to the concierge were very friendly and helpful and happy to speak English or go with my basic French.||The location is a short walk from the old town but don't let that put you off. It is also around 15 minutes downhill walk to the train/bus station. It's a modern hotel which I was pleased I stayed at and would not hesitate...
