It is hard to put into words just how special our evening at Verre Pick'l was. Jerome and Alexandra have created an experience that cannot be missed. The food is incredible, creative, unique, and so thoughtfully planned and executed. The wine was perfectly selected and not your run of the mill options. The shared table made for a really fun evening meeting new people and sharing great food and great experiences. What makes this place so special are Jerome and Alexandra. Verre Pickl’ has a winning formula. One table, one seating, 16 strangers that become friends by the end. Add excellent food using local ingredients with a Mexican flare and a great host, Jerome, it checks all the boxes. Our French is 1/10 but the fellow guests and Jerome were happy to include us with English as needed. We felt like we went to a friends house for dinner. Warm welcome. Very attentive and helpful staff. Restaurant service is different for lunch and dinner. At noon the concept is individual dishes. This time we went to try the tacos, which are on the menu for a limited time. There were chicken, carnitas, barbacoa, shrimp and vegetarian tacos, quesadillas and burritos. The tacos are very well served, plenty of filling and double tortilla. The tacos were served with a side of homemade green and red salsa, marinated onions, chiles en raja, cilantro and limes.
