After a long time from being at A and W in Trenton, we decided to go in for dinner. We walked in and the new renovations were absolutely depressing. The place where I enjoyed going into as a teen has been converted into a cold decor. A school cafeteria had more warmth. There was one young lady manning the drive thru and front. 10 minutes waiting before she actually got to our order. Our order was simple. A teen burger, fries, onion rings, a poutine chicken strips and two hamburger patties, nothing on them, just the patties (for our two dogs) We paid and then stood there 15 minutes and received the chicken strips, the fries, the poutine and one single meat Pattie. No teen burger. After bringing it to their attention, another meat patty was put in and after a few minutes the teen burger arrived. I noticed several customers from the drive thru actually come in and complain about waiting for their orders. Why at 5pm….DINNER TIME, would they have one woman at the front to handle drive thru and walk ins and one guy in the kitchen??? We will not be returning there. Seems all the burger places are the same. Time to start making burgers at home and let these poorly run places close down and perhaps get new owners that know the business. IT’S KNOWN AS FAST FOOD!!!! By reading the past reviews it seems that there is a serious problem with this establishment and all A and W can do is reply with a generic apology and an email for everyone to complain to. Here’s a good idea, send someone to check this place out and get the franchise owner to clean up his act. I can see this place going down the...
Read moreDo not go here. I know I won’t be returning. It all started about three weeks ago when I order two combos with the fries well-done. As I’m placing the order, I see two fries being placed in the waiting receptacle. As the very rude girl with the metal all over her face puts my food in the bag she grabbed those two fries. I said those aren’t well-done like I asked for. She looks at me, rolls her eyes and asks “is it really necessary?” I said I wouldn’t have asked if it wasn’t. Then I ask if her manager is there and she says “I don’t know” I said you better find out. She brings up the shift manager who only apologized and didn’t offer to make things right. A couple days later I request a phone call with the store manager who just made excuses for the employee but then told me she put my name in the book for replacement meals. Fast forward to last night when we decided to give them another chance. We walk in and guess who’s still working there. She looks at us and doesn’t greet us and continues to stand with her back to us. Finally she comes to take the order and when I tell her to check the book with my name on it, she has no idea what book I mean. She then goes to get the guy from the kitchen who is equally as stunned and he tells me I have to wait for the shift manager who is on the roof (!) fixing the HVAC system. She’ll be 10-15 minutes he says. We go outside and yell up to the shift manager who appeared to be on a personal call and she says we have to wait for 15 minutes. We left after that and went to Burger King. The management is ruining what was once a great...
Read moreThis place use to have the trio; good food, great price & great service. As we noticed new staff coming on over the years, more so in the last few months. The service quality has dropped substantially. The inadequate training is very apparent especially when you're placing orders or redeeming coupons. The other day was the last straw for me. I was told to pull up in the parking lot as coffee was brewing and it would be brought out to me. After waiting for 17 mins, I go inside to find they've forgotten all about me. They just handed me coffee and pretended like it was no big deal. Now obviously you can't base things on one encounter but the culmination of events leading up to this is what's caused me to lose my cool and voice my frustration via this review. Last week I ordered a combo to go and find out my fries were not there. Last month when my friends and I placed an order and we noticed they'd overcharged us, the lady at the machine refused to accept the fact that maybe it was wrong. Her co-worker tired to convince her but to no avail and finally after almost 12-13 mins of holding the line up, they canceled the whole $87 transaction, re- did transaction and realized there was in fact a mistake. Then to top it off, they gave us 8 drinks in trays but placed them in burger bags causing leaks all over our seats. These kinds of mistakes are becoming a regular thing and this needs to change because I enjoy the food. If they're overworked and understaffed then corporate needs to take notice. I hope this review is read by someone with the authority to implement...
