A&W Canada — Restaurant in Red Deer

I recently visited your location and had an unfortunate experience during a drive-through order. I ordered two combo meals, but upon receiving my order, I noticed that one of the fries was missing. When I informed the drive-thru employee of this oversight, I was told that I did not order a combo and was essentially blamed for the error. Despite clarifying that I had ordered combos, the employee insisted that I was mistaken and made me pay for the missing fries.

If there was any misunderstanding regarding my order, I believe it should have been handled more professionally. It’s also customary to confirm if a customer wants a combo when they order a burger and drink separately. The employee’s response was dismissive and unhelpful, which was disappointing.

Got dinner for my kid and myself tonight. I used a coupon luckily because if I didn’t our 2 meals would’ve been almost $30. Both our chicken burgers were not even warm or fresh. My daughters fries were also not even warm and mine were due to the hot gravy that was on them(poutine). When I called to complain the guy on the phone refused to replace both meals because my fries weren’t cold only one was. He proceeded to say that the cook said our chicken was fresh so pretty much called me a liar. I have had fresh from A&W before and it’s hot like burn your mouth hot. This wasn’t even warm. He offered to replace 1 meal only. I feel this location has gone downhill and the customer service is appalling!!!!! I use to go to A&W everyday for breakfast but when the Starbucks offers breakfast at a more affordable price then A&W it was an easy switch. My breakfast use to be 10-12$ but now it holds steady at 15-16$. Too much price increase on a sandwich that shouldn't even be 5$. Sausage & Egger should be 4$ max. Look at other places doing breakfast Wendy's is cheaper Starbucks is cheaper make your food more affordable and I will come back.

Updated: December 7th,2024... wow A&W instead of taking people's advice to make things more affordable you make it even more expensive.. 1breakfast combo now costs 10.50$ I shouldn't even be paying 8$ for a single sandwich combo. I'm done coming to A&W use to come here for years... don't know how anybody still comes there and pays...
