GUAC Mexi Grill — Restaurant in Red Deer

I had been wanting to come here for a long time. Finally got a chance to try. I love tacos and I’m trying to make my way around the taco places in town. It was a Tuesday so we tried 3 beef tacos, 1 shrimp, 1 barbacoa, 1 carnitas. Got an order of fiesta potatoes, a side of guacamole and a side of sour cream.

They use soft shell flour tortillas and fill them up. You can add whatever toppings you like. My favourite salsa was the spicy one, all the sauces were good. -Beef tacos 2.5/5 -Shrimp tacos 2/5 dry and not very flavorful. Would be better if battered and fried -barbacoa 3.5/5 -carnitas taco 4.5/5 very flavorful and juicy -fiesta potatoes are fried homefries with meat, tomatoes and sauces and seasonings 3/5 guacamole 4/5 citrus heavy but tastes 👍

The wife suggested this new “burrito place” to me after hearing about it on the radio. I worked all day and had no idea they existed but I’m always down for a burrito, so I was game! The guy behind the counter (part owner or manager or something like that) was awesome! Friendly and approachable. Oh ya… the food, it’s a restaurant maybe I should talk about that hey? Well what can I say other than amazing! I don’t know if there’s a taco joint in town that can compare.
