This place has gone downhill drastically. I used to love hitting up Red Deer Pizza after a night out, their pizza couldn't be beat. Last couple of times the pizza has been mediocre at best. To trump the degrading quality, went there with a couple of friends after a night out as per usual. There was a really dirty & nasty girl sitting in the restaurant drinking vodka out of the bottle. For the 10 minutes we were there she made a ruckus, wandered in and out of back rooms, and was quite clearly just a very very drunk mess; to be frank it was disgusting that this was being allowed. We asked the gentleman working if he had called the cops or dealt with the problem. Immediately he lashed out telling us if we said one more word about it or called the cops ourselves, he would cease to make our pizza. As if I wanted a dirty pizza infested with who-knows-what anyways...
Glad to see new management takes such "pride" in their business. It is safe to say that after 7 years of enjoying Red Deer Pizza, there is not a chance in hell I will ever return.
EDIT** I never said there was a woman working. I said there was a woman sitting in your restaurant openly drinking vodka from a 26 oz. bottle. Unless you are hiding a liquor license for some reason, this is highly illegal and un-hygenic. There was no drunk person using your facilities, there was a drunk person wandering in and out from behind the counter. I'm not part of the health board; but as I said, I will not be eating...
Read moreOrdered pizza from here a few times. While the pizza is good (and one of a few rare places that actually have 18" pizzas, one of the reasons I order from here), typically the 45 minutes they say it will take often extends into an hour. One thing they can definitely improve on is their phone etiquette. Sound happy when customers call and maybe don't sound like you're disinterested when folks call in to order. Sounding upbeat and cheerful when you answer the phone goes a very long way to making someone glad they ordered from your establishment. I understand people have rough days at work and maybe they have something going on in their personal lives, but the person(s) calling in to get some pizza don't know this and shouldn't be greeted with a lack-luster individual. Train your staff to be more engaging when they answer the phone to take orders... it will go a long way.
Pizza is still great, even better the cold the next day. They use cornmeal on the bottom of the pizza to keep it from sticking (a lot of places do) but there isn't so much that you taste it. Sauce is thick and spicy (but not too much) and just the right amount. Toppings are respectable in volume and spread out pretty well. I WILL be ordering from here again in the future... but I only hope that they sound happier the next...
Read moreI ordered a Crispy Chicken wrap (which I ordered once before and was fine) and they gave me a wrap with this nasty old tasting Chicken that was not breaded. I swear the owner bought some whole pre cooked chicken from a grocery store for his dinner night or 2 ago and they ran out of crispy chicken so they ripped up rest of his leftover chicken and used that. I had one bite and then realized it tasted awful and wasnt crispy chicken and went back to return it and they gave me hard time saying "that's how we make it" I was like TF? Look at the picture clearly shows Big crispy chicken strip and I ordered it before and it was not a bunch of tiny ripped up nasty pieces of rotisserie chicken. "Well this is how we make it but I'll give you your money back" was the response. Told them maybe change your picture and change name from breaded crispy chicken as what you give is clearly not what someone is asking for and never...
