Sushi Koon — Restaurant in Red Deer

Was pleasantly surprised to see it was open on a Saturday! We walked in and were immediately greeted by the staff and offered a place to sit. We were given water and menus. They were very nice and took our order with a smile. Food came out in good time. I had the sumo bento, my daughter had the lunch b bento. Plus we ordered gyoza and tuna tataki. Everything was phenomenal, except for the tuna tataki- it was a bit too spicy for me, and not made the same as another place I go to, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Great little sushi place in Red Deer that I surprisingly hadn’t tried yet! Will very likely be going back in near future! Had “Box C”for lunch - everything was very tasty and the staff members were very attentive and friendly!

Back a second time with hubby and very pleased with everything again! This may become a new regular establishment for me! 😄 Enjoyed the yam tempura and rainbow rolls tonight. My husband tried the Mexican & Island Maki and for someone who’s not huge into sushi - he said the Island Maki is one of his favourite sushi rolls to date!!!! And I’ve dragged him around to several sushi establishments over the years!!! 🤣 Will definitely be back again...

Went on a mini vacation trip from Edmonton, we totally made the right choice to take our son here for dinner for his 5th bday (He'd requested Japanese food, his favorite!)

Sushi, rolls, tempura, Sashimi were all fresh, excellent quality, was very delicious along with good pricing! Very kind friendly staff, even went out of their way to make him bday ice cream plate and kindly made another to share with my wife our other son and myself all for free! plus they we're so sweet to give candy to all of us at the end.

We loved the hospitality, fantastic eats and will definitely always come back when visiting Red Deer, a Gem, Top notch...
