West 67 Lounge And Grill — Restaurant in Red Deer

Was staying at the hotel that’s in the same building. I took my 4 year old there. I would not really call family friendly as I felt like was sitting in a bar with my kid. I ordered the beef dip and ordered the kids grilled cheese and fries for him. Beef dip was probably the worst I’ve ever had. Every bite either had hard meat in it or the bun was hard and inedible even after dipping in the gross aujus that just looked and tasted like dirty brown water also had processed cheeses slices on it which I thought this place was claiming farm to table. His grilled cheese looked like bagged shredded cheese just tossed into the bread he hardly finished his meal. Fries were really good. When brought up to the server they did remove my beef dip from my bill which I appreciated but then had bad stomach ache for next day or so while supposed to be enjoying my time with my kid. Service was good, food was terrible. Originally, I had ordered the butter chicken, but the waitress (who was wonderful) informed me that the cooks stated the butter chicken looked rancid and they didn’t want to serve me. I hesitantly then ordered the pulled pork bao sandwhich. Firstly, this was not on a bao bun, lol. It was a ciabatta bun. Second, the pork was so hard and dry I thought there were bone fragments in it. The fries tasted like they were fried in old oil. I barely ate any of it, and tossed it after leaving. This lounge is phenomenal my fiance and I came here on a business trip for one night we thought we would give the local lounge a shot. We are so very grateful and happy that we took the chance on this lounge. The food was amazing, I highly recommend their wings, we had dill and honey hot. The waiter/bartender is amazing, he can handle the whole room just himself, with no wait times for drinks. We asked him to make us a shot and he made us a shot that was GREAT a bottle cap, TOO GOOD. We had a great time, we watched the game on the big screens. It was a Wednesday which is wing night, it was $5 a plate, got 12 wings, VERY cheap for the quality....
