I enjoy taking my family out for a treat as often as I can. My in-laws were the Park Street DQ entrepreneurs. It breaks Granny's heart when I come home only to tell her that some of the staff at her old store, are less than sub-par. Last night happened to be an opportunity to take my wife and youngest kids out for a treat..so to DQ we go! My order came to more than $70. A few of my items were special-order, which should've included "extra toppings" (dairy queen charges a fair penny for extras). Needless to say based on my one-star review here, the "extras" that I paid EXTRA for have been missing from my order, at least the last half a dozen times I've visited the store. Specifically my large blizzards!! They charge $1.19 for extra stuff. This time however, me getting ripped-off didn't stop at my blizzards. They also didn't give me my box of Dilly Bars, nor my box of Buster Bars. I had asked that they put extra flame-sauce on my burgers and wraps, but there was next to nothing on the sandwich/wraps. After paying for the order and asking if everything was in the bag, the man at the drive-thru convincingly assured me I had my whole order. I phoned repeatedly after getting home, even left a message. No answer and no response. I'm very displeased with the lack of quality the staff...
Read moreStopped in for some ice cream while we were in the east end of Regina. Insanely busy inside and only one person taking orders. I can only guess this person was new as he had to fix one customers order 3x and by the time he was done it was still wrong. Once that was sorted and he served two more people, it was my turn. I thought my order was pretty straight forward, 1 mini blizzard, 1 medium blizzard and 1 small dipped cone. The employee didn't read my order back to me, nor give me a receipt. He gave me a number and carried on with the person behind me. The person behind me ordered two meals and ice cream and was served before myself and one girl ahead of me. My ice cream took 18 minutes to make and when it came out, was not what I had ordered. Instead of apologizing or offering to make adjustments to correct it, I was told "this is what you paid for". I didn't have an issue paying the difference to get what I wanted, but I was not given this option. Rather the girl left my ice cream on the counter and walked away. Very disappointed in this location. Thankfully, the power went out, so they couldn't mix up any more...
Read moreOkay my husband and I frequent this place a lot and it is normal in summer for a lineup at the drive thru and a wait. But tonight was pretty disappointing. I'm so confused with what happened here. Three cars ahead of me, I ordered a large blizzard for my husband and it took 30 minutes for just one blizzard, and two mini blizzards in the car ahead of me?
The worst was despite my husband's blizzard passed the upside down test...it was half melted all the same! It was soup by the time I got home and we live in the area. No one in the restaurant. 2 employees. Several ice creams, all the same type. Why the lack of quality? Why did you make all the ice cream at once and then leave it on the counter to melt for the next 20 minutes while you rang up each customer?
The staff need to be trained in efficiency or retrained, a manager needs to be checking in for quality and control. Yikes, man.
In the meantime I think you better go to the shoppers drug mart next door instead and buy a pint of Ben and Jerry's. Cheaper, instant, and frozen...
