I'm from Alberta on a 2 weeks tour. Every day I try different restaurants. I ordered Chicken 65, a South Indian dish, but it wasn't an authentic dish, more like a Haka dish. Please change name on menu. Couple pieces were hard and dry.
Yellow Dal was good but with less salt and no salt on the table.
I ordered tandoori roti without butter and saved some money for them, but they charged me $ 4 for couple raw onion rings. Indian restaurant charging for couple onion rings, 1 small lemon, and 2 green chilies. Amazing 👏 if it was green salad I understand but for onion rings $4, really. Please don't tell anyone back home they will have instant heart attack.
Jeera rice was good, but too much cumin kills the flavor of the basmati rice.
Reply to your response. After reading your response I wish Google had a negative rating stars. I will give your establishment negative 5 *s
Please check receipt I even gave tips to your server for his good service. It's not a question of $4. I travel a lot so eat out a lot no Indian restaurant in mine entire life have charged me for few onion rings. Including recently vised 3 indian restaurants in Regina. My friend you have a big problem I have seen all your responses for 1 * reviews, take it positive way and think how you can do better next time. As per your responses I believe you don't believe in customer satisfaction or feedback.I worked 15 years in hospitality, customer feedback is very powerful if you really want to improve your customer satisfaction score.
Regarding Chicken 65 it's traditional South Indian dish don't do false marketing. Keep traditional, if you don't know how to make authentic dish then don't have it on menu. Masala Dosa cannot be made of wheat flour, it has to be mixture of rice and black lentel. You can't serve roti with potato inside and present as a masala dosa and Dosa cannot be served as a authentic Italian pizza.
Finally regarding French and Spanish translation I have brains to translate from Google. I deleted to keep you happy.
You don't tell me how much time should spend to write a honest review. I am not using offensive language in my review. I didn't even ask or fight with your server over $4 onion charges.
Check another restaurant today's slip for few onions they charged $0 yes ZERO $$ I believe they growing ONIONS...
Read moreThe experience was very up and down. So close to being a great experience but yet not quite there on many counts
Showed up at 545pm on a Friday evening, but the only person there to serve us was the chef. He was a very nice fellow and welcoming but unprepared to handle the front and back of the house. A server showed up after we were served an extremely delicious appetizer (dragon chicken - sooo good), but had not been briefed about where we were in our meal and tried to clear the table and hand out candy thinking we were done.
The decor is very fresh, charming and clean, with unique wood elements and very comfortable lighting...except the bathroom was dirty and the door was blocked by a cart.
There is a complementary soup and salad bar, however it was a bit confusing seeing as it was interspersed in a buffet line that was not in commission. I think there was even a dessert in one of the buffet trays, but no there was no signage or instructions from the staff to indicate if it was left over from lunch or available for us to have.
The food however was REALLY good. It is quite a step up from the common Indian restaurant experience in Regina. I was very surprised at how unique the spice profile was and how special the dishes were.
In the end, no one stopped by to check on us during our entrees and took quite a while to clear the plates. We were never delivered a bill and I was only provided with a total amount when I approached the counter (no breakdown of the costs).
All in all, the people were very nice, the decor was exceptional, the food was great, but also disjointed and inattentive considering our bill came to nearly 50 dollars for 3 entrees and some tea.
I sincerely hope they pull it together. It is so close to being a place that I would return to, but had enough blunders that I'm not sure we will. Being that we were the only ones in the restaurant on a Friday night, I wonder if this has become a theme with...
Read moreToday I had placed an order (Take Away) Hakka Noodles & Tandoori Chicken Full plate at around 21:10 LT. I had specifically requested being Hakka Noodles (Very Mild in Spice) & Tandoori Chicken Full plate (Extra spicy) since it was not for kids. We drove there got the parcel came home and once we started to have it, we realized that the Tandoori Chicken was not spicy at all, where we had requested to make it "Extra Spicy". We called back to tell them, what we had ordered was entirely different from what we had asked for. When we had called back to inform them of the same, surprisingly what they could say was they will make it spicy, the next time we order. "Never for once they took into consideration the distance we drove to get the food, the time and money wasted to get a specific dish and everything went in vain. All they could tell us was "Next time we will make it Spicy" I expected the management to be a little courteous & to accept what they have done was a total error from their side and that they would replace the dish with the actual order placed !!!!! Now I guess as to what they told, I have to order once again another "Tandoori Chicken" just so they can clear their ERROR paid from my pocket again. How Can that be justified. Completely not. Sad to say -...
