TLDR: Food Poisoning
I rarely ever leave restaurant reviews, but after this experience, and the extremely poor response I got from the restaurant staff following this experience, I feel the need to share.
I dined in at this restaurant on Wednesday May 7th, 2025. I ordered the Paneer Methi Malai, a garlic naan, and cucumber raita. About 3 hours after my meal I developed serious stomach cramps, and then vomited up the entire meal. I vomited maybe 4-5 times over a 2 hour period.
The next day I did call the restaurant to let them know I had gotten sick, and that I just wanted to speak to the manager to let them know about the experience. I told them specifically that I have eaten here before, and I don't tend to complain at restaurants in general, but I do feel this is an important thing that should be addressed by management. The response from the staff amazed me - the woman working at the front proceeded to deny that this could have happened, and tried to explain to me that its impossible to get food poisoning within a few hours of eating a meal, and essentially told me the restaurant will not be doing anything about what happened, nor did they want any further info from me. I asked to speak to the owner/manager directly and was told by the staff that she can't give me their number, but that the manager will contact me when he's available. Its been 3 days now and I have been patient enough to not leave this review - but unfortunately it seems like the restaurant is not going to acknowledge their mistake.
As somebody who's worked in the restaurant industry, it is quite disheartening to see the lack of responsibility taken by the restaurant staff, and the fact that they did not care enough to even reach out to me to understand what had happened is mindblowing. Regardless, I won't be eating here again, and suggest you...
Read moreI loved the food over here but the service is very bad. This restaurant has disappointed me in every visits I have given. First time I came over here they served us the wrong order and then our original order was served to us after an hour, in the end we were told that they forgot our order. On my second visit, we were again served late and we asked a waitress for salt and pepper and she didn't gave us and I guess it was their manager/owner, we asked him for it, he also told that we will give it to you in a minute and then we were not served. I know that waiting time for the food to be served can be slow because of crowd but what if the restaurant was not that much busy ? On my third visit, we ordered Paneer kadhai and naan, but I felt that salt was not enough so I again ordered salt and two more naan, afterwards they us naan but did not give salt and then later when my Paneer kadhai was finished they served us salt which was of no use. In addition, I order for dal fry and jeera rice, they took '40 MINUTES' to serve it even when the restaurant was not busy, also by the time they were serving us we told them that it took 40 minutes just to serve us dal fry and jeera rice, the waitress just ignored us without giving us explanation.
See I really love your food and my only reason to come over here again and again even though I am having bad experience is just because of food. But now I am fed up and very disappointed and now will not give another chance of coming to this restaurant. I hope you make changes...
Read moreWe recently visited Da India Curry House, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and despite the restaurant being quite full, the staff handled everything with impressive calm and efficiency, ensuring we had a great time.
For starters, we sampled a variety of dishes: steamed momos, aloo tikki chaat, and tandoori soya champ. The momos were perfectly steamed, and the aloo tikki chaat was bursting with flavor. However, we did encounter an issue with the tandoori soya champ, as it had an unpleasant smell. The staff was quick to replace it with malai soya champ, which was tender, flavorful, and a much better option.
For drinks, we tried the Blue Lagoon and Shirley Temple, both of which were refreshing and added a nice touch to the meal.
As for dessert, we opted for the brownie with ice cream, and it was the perfect way to end our meal. The brownie was warm, rich, and paired beautifully with the cold, creamy ice cream — a real treat.
Overall, despite the minor hiccup with the soya champ, the food was fantastic, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. we’ll definitely be back. Highly...
