Sinfully Sweet Cathedral Bakery — Restaurant in Regina

I'm not really one to complain, but as a bride looking for the perfect people to make my wedding cake, I feel I should share my experience.

I had a wedding consult scheduled almost 2 weeks in advance, for 10:30 AM on Saturday Feb 22. We were a few minutes early and when we were helped, we let them know we were here for an appt. They went to the back, came back and said that they had an unexpected cake order come in, so we rescheduled to 2:00 PM. No problem, things happen. Just wish we were given a call in advance as we drove there to be on time etc. 1:30 PM we get a call and they want to cancel our appointment. They say they now had an unexpected delivery they had to do, so they wanted to reschedule to next week. Which was not going to work for us...

To make things worse, at the same time of the original appt (10:30 AM) I bought some chocolate chip cookies from Sinfully Sweet to try. I later tried them to find out I was actually given cinnamon raisin ones. Which is a flavour I'm not fond of.

Very disappointed. I had heard so many great things and had great expectations... and we didnt even get to discuss wedding cakes with them.

Not a great first impression Sinfully Sweet. I feel even if I had rescheduled with you again, and you did end up making my cake, how could I trust it would be done properly and on time based on that...

Firstly I did try a few other places before coming here, which was recommended by a friend, which I am elated that they did. I popped in and discussed what I was looking for, carrot cake with frosting with blue accents (I sent some inspiration pictures) and they were more than happy to accommodate, I ordered about 3 weeks in advance and paid in full. I did call once about a week before to just go over the order to make sure I hadn't missed anything and also to change the time of pick up. The whole way through they were amazing, I cannot stress enough that service is key to a happy customer and thrilled I was. The cake was better than my inspiration pictures. Carrot cake is my partners favourite and he was so shocked when he cut into it and realized, what a great 50th birthday cake, everyone that had some commented on how delicious it was too. I got a run down of how to store and when to take out before eating to ensure it was at its best which I think was great, as I would have no idea. Support local hard working business and remember to tip, being from the UK I think this one of the better patisseries in Regina, which is a huge compliment to them, they offer amazing service, deliver a great product and pricing is extremely reasonable. Just wanted to update with another AMAZING experience. This time I ordered in advance for my dad's big 70th party. The theme was gold and black, and I flipped them a few basic ideas but they took it and ran with it. Absolutely amazing and so many compliments! The best part was, it was my dad's favorite flavor - carrot cake with cream cheese filling! Beautiful AND delicious 😋. The communication was also great, and they were able to make a last minute change with ease. Super happy, and definitely the best place in Regina for cakes 😍

I called first thing Saturday morning hoping they might have a black forest cake (my hubby's favorite) in stock for a last minute party. They did not, but the woman I spoke with offered to make one by the end of the day. And make one she did - it was absolutely beautiful! A piece of artwork, as my mother described it when she picked it up for me. It tasted even better, and we got so many compliments. As for my husband, he said it was the best he'd ever had!
