This particular Starbucks, conveniently located right next to the Indigo bookstore, provides a remarkably pleasant experience that balances efficiency, quality, and atmosphere. From the perspective of a frequent customer, I must commend the baristas for their consistent attentiveness to detail. On multiple visits, I have requested beverages with fairly specific customizations—whether altering the level of sweetness, adjusting the proportion of milk, or experimenting with flavor shots—and each time, the drinks have been executed precisely according to instruction. The taste reflects both freshness and fidelity to the established Starbucks standard, which is reassuring for individuals who value predictability and accuracy in their orders. Equally noteworthy is the speed of service. Even during peak hours, when one might anticipate extended waiting times, the staff operates with remarkable efficiency, ensuring that customers are served in a manner that is both timely and courteous. Such swiftness contributes to an overall sense of professionalism and reliability. The physical setting also deserves mention. The store offers outdoor seating, which creates an inviting option for those who prefer fresh air or wish to read after purchasing a book from Indigo. Yet, one limitation exists: the prohibition of smoking in this outdoor space. While I understand that such a policy aligns with broader health regulations, it inevitably diminishes the sense of personal freedom for patrons who may wish to enjoy a cigarette alongside their coffee. This minor frustration, however, does not overshadow the overall excellence of the...
Read moreWe stopped in the other day when we were in chapters. Ordered a tea and a caramel macchiato coffee. There were 3 employees working and very few customers. Service was slow considering that. Got our order to go after a bit of confusion while paying. Employee couldn't figure out how to scan Aeroplan card and stated that my card was inactive which it is not. Further, without entering the pin on my payment card their machine billed my card without any tap enabled on that card....not sure how that happens??? But the main issue was the final product. My coffee was lukewarm at best, and very literally tasted like someone had ground cigarette butts into it. Can honestly say there wasn't a hint of either coffee flavour or caramel. Had 1 sip and discarded immediately. Perhaps their machines aren't cleaned properly, or maybe with a chemical that can inadvertently transfer to beverages.....not sure but as of now the worst Starbucks I have ever had. To be fair though I would like to try this location again to make sure this experience wasn't an aberration or really bad day for their barista. Either way it definitely wasn't hotel Saskatchewan coffee. Would rate 2 stars for good location and typical...
Read moreI usually always go to the Starbucks in Safeway in regent park but today I was south so I went to chapters and it was very frustrating because I waited probably about 10-20 minutes for TWO drinks. Now spending more than $2 on coffee you EXPECT it to be good, I get the same thing every time and today this is the WORST iced coffee I’ve ever had and the worst part about it is the girl had to remake it two times (not a big deal) but Jesus I’m not pleased to dump out my $7 coffee at all. Basically what ima getting at is that if the staff could pay more attention to the customers orders that would be great because again it’s expensive coffee so i expect the service and the taste to be good!
I’m hoping I can at the very least get a refund on the grande vanilla latte and the venti iced chai latte I received today and I would NOT return to this...
