Last Saturday, we went to Boston Pizza to celebrate my daughter acing her first spelling test with a family dinner, totaling seven of us. We were okay with a 20-minute wait, it was a busy weekend night after all and we hadn’t made a reservation.
However, our experience was dampened when we overheard a server say to the two hostesses at the front desk, “Go to my table, #22 and then you'll see why everyone hates kids.” This comment, loudly pronounced in a family-friendly restaurant, was inappropriate and startling, to say the least, especially considering several families with children were waiting alongside us.
Despite this, we decided to stay as we had already waited and everyone had made the effort to come. The food was standard and what you’d typically expect from Boston Pizza, satisfying but not exceptional. Ironically, the server who made the rude comment ended up being ours and, surprisingly, was very pleasant and nice, particularly to my daughter.
While the overall dining experience after being seated was fine, the inappropriate and disrespectful comment made before our meal was what became the highlight of the evening, and that’s unfortunate. I hope the staff at Boston Pizza can be more mindful and and professional. Here’s hoping for a more respectful and welcoming atmosphere for everyone,...
Read moreThe service was very good, our server Rachel was very attentive, professional and polite. She gets the only star. The quality of food has dramatically decreased. This is not just a Regina issue, this is an overall BP,s problem. Our four different menu choices all had one thing in common, all of it was pre processed, frozen portioned and then warmed up. For the price we were very disappointed and after this experience will be seeking smaller local restaurants that actually prepare the food. Don't order the $2.50 guacamole extra with the natcho. You get a thimble full of processed green stuff. Just another disappointment in a world where quality is sacrificed for profits. By far a better meal to be had at Quizno,s.....
Edited after the form message from the "manager". Your reply is as preprocessed as your food. This is the reply every poor review gets, no personal concern here at all. I did as requested, just to see if it would make any difference or generate a personal response, it did not. Review...
Read moreWe are in Regina weekly (Monday thru Friday) We have visited this location multiple times per week in the past 3 weeks. Usually decent service and food but after today we (4 to 6 workers ) will no longer give this restaurant our business. We arrived around 5:45pm for supper. Inquired about the soup of the day to find out they no longer had any available for the day. But we were told they still had French onion soup. The price difference between the two is $1.30 more for the French onion. We asked if they would honour the bowl of soup price with French onion since they were out of soup of the day. The waitress asked the manager to come to talk to us. He said he couldn’t reduce the price by $1.30 because of the different ingredients used. I have worked in customer service rolls previous and can not believe that our request was denied! Paid for our drinks and took our business elsewhere. Maybe some additional training of your management...
