I visited this place for supper with my siblings. We all ordered a variety of dishes. Enjoyed the meal and atmosphere for what it was. If I had not been going out with my siblings on an adventure then I would have tried the beef pho noodle soup. Whereas I had the pork fresh rolls and wonton soup to be on the safe side of things to ensure that I would not react to anything that the pho broth may have with my food allergies.
The service was good, but I noticed that they were in training, so my water glass never got filled when it should have been to my liking. We did have the owner ask us about our experience with the food and she explained how or what inspired the menu choices that we chose.
Update Feb 2025 Service: Slow, Short staff, busy, constant flow of people coming in either for dining in, take out, or deliveries. Tables are not being cleaned for new seating. Delays getting our food, drinks, cutlery, order taken, etc. Watched someone placed there order for take out and then three other tables of diners come in and placed orders after the take out order was taken. All the diners were getting their food slowly and deliveries getting their orders before the person who ordered the take out order still has not gotten their order to get going home. Might be because it being a Friday evening. Weeknights might be less busy.
Food: Starting to step up their game a bit. My spouse's go to choice is Saute Beef Sub. Their #38 Special Pho is good, but I still have to be careful because it varies each time for me to react to it due to food allergies.
Environment/Atmosphere: Can be chilly, especially when the door opens and there isn't much for getting away from the cold breeze coming in. Not much has changed since I first came into this...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this cozy Vietnamese restaurant and I must say, it was an absolute delight. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The decor was tastefully done, with beautiful paintings and ornaments adorning the walls.
The menu was extensive, offering a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes that were all bursting with flavor. I tried the Beef Hot Plate and it was easily one of the best I've ever had. The two pieces of shumai and minced meat were delicious along with the egg it was a great combo. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the herbs and spices added the perfect touch of freshness. However, for the sauce part of the dish is a minus point for me. The taste of the sauce is a bit salty and there is no important highlight of the tomato but only the flavour of the salt, In addition, I think if the restaurant added a little tomato sauce and made it less salty, the taste would be balanced when eaten so many. Because when the sauce is already salty, then I eat it with the salty sausage, I can't eat it.
The service was also excellent, with the staff being attentive and friendly throughout my entire meal. They were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu and even made recommendations on what dishes to try.
Overall, I would highly recommend this cozy Vietnamese restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic dining experience. The food, atmosphere, and service are all top-notch, and I can't wait to come back and try more dishes...
Read moreFirstly I’d like to complement the quality of food, it’s awesome!! But…. I had beef noodle pho for lunch one day, it was great. So on Friday evening I stopped and ordered the beef pho and a wonton with a side of rice to go. It took a long time to get and I took it home and my rice was missing. Soup was wonderful but I missed my rice. So Saturday we went for supper and dined in. My wife ordered wonton soup, pork bun and I decided to try their specialty beef hot pot. The tables are always dirty, I had to ask to have it wiped, my wife got her bun and then her soup, my meal never came, the place was busy with skip orders and only 3 other patrons in restaurant. Apparently the server took my meal to wrong table and I seen customer turn it away and I had a feeling it was mine. My wife finished her meal we waited but no meal, so I got up and went to pay, the lady couldn’t understand me when I said I didn’t get my meal, she found it on the counter where it had been sitting for 1/2 an hour. I paid for my wife’s meal and left disappointed. I have no doubt if I got my meal it would have been great. But I’ll never know I had raisin toast for supper last night. In closing I suggest uncle sunny better get the front end in order, it’s very...
