Renfrew Pizzaria — Restaurant in Renfrew

First initial call to place my order I was met with very rude customer service and the man was very disrespectful and short with me. He gave me no wait time but as we were 12 minutes away and I used to work at a pizza place it’s usually about 40 minutes-1hour if it’s busy. After AN HOUR AND A HALF I gave them a call to see the ETA as I was with a group of people and we were fishing (had been and had been docked waiting for the pizza for 1.5 hours at this point) and the same rude voice answered, said “yeah they’re on their way give them 10 minutes” and hung up on me. After waiting another 30 minutes (2 hours since the initial order was made) I tried calling again, 3 calls all which went ignored. Then the driver, Paul showed up and gave every excuse in the book. He told us that he got lost 5km down the road, one of the delivery drivers was sick and went home (he was very adamant that the driver was not contagious) but he was very friendly and apologetic, he asked why we had not tried calling and I explained that I had multiple times. He tried calling himself when he was there with us and his calls went ignored as well. Paul was very kind at this point and gave us our food for free (THE ORDER WAS ALSO INCORRECT) and we thanked him greatly. He told us that he would settle things with his boss himself and that he thought waiting that long was unacceptable. My friends drinks were missing and the pizzas were cold, thankfully their vegan cheese was very good. Today (the next day) my boyfriend received a cal from a number he did not recognize so he declined it. Then another called right after so I told him to answer it. Lo and behold it was Renfrew Pizza. Calling on a no caller ID line to tell us we needed to come settle the bill. The owner was laughing at us saying we DID NOT WAIT THAT LONG. He clearly had the phone on speaker as well with others laughing. After sitting through a very disrespectful phone call and ignorant comments from the owner, my boyfriend hung up. Not one minute later he received a threatening text message from the same phone number saying that they would call the cops and say that we had intimidated the delivery driver and STOLE THE FOOD. The boat launch that is easily accessible, well marked, a place with security cameras, over a dozen witnesses and phone call records, over a couple pizzas, I am shocked this place does not have worse reviews. Safe to say I would not recommend this place to anyone, yet I’d tell them to avoid it. And the ignorant, lying, disrespectful people that work there. I at least had some respect for the driver Paul until we received that call and text message...

Renfrew Pizzerria sets a standard for what pizzas should be and as a result make it extremely difficult to go back to a chain pizza place.

Pizza overall: their pizzas are monsters. This is not some cardboard crust that has a single layer of cheese on top and a spoonful of sauce. Their pizza dough is large, their crusts.....crust, their sauce is full of flavour, and they have a think layer of cheese that is more appropriate to write it as Cheese. I thought a medium pizza would be a good size for me not realizing the thickness of their pizza.

Lets go into toppings

If you ask for bacon bits, you are not getting two crumbs of bacon, you are getting a good chunk of pig on your pizza. You ask for mushrooms? You're getting Mushrooms. The only challenge with toppings is that they are hard to see because there is so much cheese (and is this really a problem?). Biting into the pizza, it is evident that the toppings are there. No small slices of pepperoni but massive chunks.

Seriously, the pizza is amazing.

Staff are as awesome as the pizzas, super friendly, joked around with us about dairy free cheese because my partner has a dietary restriction. I wish I knew the name of the person who took our order because she really was awesome.

Also to anyone that will be getting the dairy free cheese option, my partner was surprised at how good the pizza was. She says "it was delicious, with lots of pineapple, as God intended". While I question her life choices with pineapple on pizza, she really was happy with how great the dairy free cheese pizza turned out.

If you are in the Renfrew Area I cannot recommend Renfrew Pizzaria enough.

Pissed I order the same thing ones a week when I ordered this time took them an hour to show up witch ok I get it they're busy then when it gets here they messed up my two burgers and my strip platter is cold when I called them to say my food was messed up they said they were to busy to fix it witch then really pissed me off cuz my boyfriend now had 2 hours before he had to leave for work cuz he works nights and he was not going to eat these burgers then they said they'd do 10% off my next order I said my order will be the same van I just get two free burgers next time I just played $40 for two messed up burgers and a cold strip combo and they said no like wyd I deserve what I paid for instead I get to throw out two burgers and give my food to my boyfriend and sit there and starve for there mistake...
