Chatime Bubble Tea — Restaurant in Richmond Hill

So I love chatime not only for the drinks but amazing service ! Unfortunately this one location I went to for the first time was not so great. I’m hoping management can read my review and help train this current staff to be a little more friendly. I came to the shop on Friday July 19 at 5:15 pm ish I would say. I ordered my same drink I always get which is the jasmine jade milk tea with coconut jelly. As I entered the shop.. I was not greeted but I don’t even care about that. I asked about how she is doing and smiling through my order while she had a very dull angry looking face. I paid and within second of putting my wallet away .. I look up and the order is done ! Which was great but she added the wrong topping.. again that was not the issue. I just corrected her and told her I wanted the coconut jelly please instead of the tapioca that she put. she immediately rolled her eyes and turned back with no apologies or any conversation to what I asked and started preparing the new drink. It was sooo ffast and sooo rushed that I had a little feeling it may not be prepared the way it should be. So I said thank u and left with my drink and of course after drinking it .. I was drinking just cream or milk but the flavour was not the usual drink I get from other locations. It was a very late winter night, and my legs were shivering vicariously from the evening breeze. I happen to pass by Chatime on my way home, and I've heard the rave and excitement from my peers about their boba tea. I had a crave for the excitement and an interest in the new. It was uncharted territory for me, and I thrive in the unknown. My interest was piqued and my commitment to try something new overwhelmed all my senses and I entered the store. I'm a very anxious person by nature and I can't verbally communicate clearly, so this was a very difficult decision for me. But as I entered the Chatime, I was greeted with kindness and smiles and I was very grateful that they were able to give me such a warm welcome. The store was also very noticeably clean and the bobaristas seemed to be very diligent in keeping the store stay that way and keeping the vibrant atmosphere. It was a very pleasant first impression for me and I was able to have a nice gentle conversation with the bobaristas on what drinks I should start off with. It was like I had my own boba Wikipedia! I was able to take my Taro Smoothie with coconut jelly to the seats and vibe with the atmosphere for a pretty long time. I'm surprised with myself because I would never do such a thing at a McDonald's or a fast food restaurant. The customers around me were also very lively and created a nicer environment. I’ve been to multiple chatime locations but this was the worst one 🙃

I paid extra for coconut jelly, but they forgot to add it in. Also, the tapioca had no taste whatsoever, typically it tastes slightly sweet, but this time it literally had no taste.

I ordered through the kiosk machine and it ran out of paper for the receipt so I didn’t get one; I took a picture of the order number on the screen regardless. They were quite busy so I waited 20 minutes for one drink. The number on the actual drink also didn’t match up with the order number from the kiosk so I could’ve been waiting even longer if I didn’t ask them about it, in which they said there was an issue...
