Luna Lounge — Restaurant in Richmond Hill

I made a reservation for Saturday September 21on Tuesday September 17. The lady on the phone was very nice and told me about the $25 minimum per person, after 15 mins if you’re not there they will give away your table, gave me some basic info as it was our first time going there. She advised me that we had the “nicki Minaj” booth. I called on Friday to change the time, lady on the phone said it was fine.. Saturday comes and we get to yaz and I noticed that there are people sitting at the nicki Minaj booth. (The booth she had reserved for us) The manager then told me that she has no spots and that we have to sit in the middle at a small table where it was so crowded. I had CLEARLY made a reservation and our spot was given to some other group. she then told me that the booths are for groups of 10, mind you there was only 5 people sitting at the booth we reserved. I asked her if she can move those people to the table she wanted to give us and we can get our booth that we RESERVED. Supposedly this was the manager that we were speaking to and it was very upsetting that we had to deal with us as we ended up leaving.. this was booked for a friends birthday and our night was completely ruined!! she also stated that we had to give a deposit ?? I’m sure the owner is writing all these good reviews because there is no way these reviews are true! I wish I could give zero star if I could!! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE AT ALL!! I’ve never been scammed that much in my whole life!! And it’s only a shisha lounge but the food is super expensive even more than the keg! 32$ for 3 shrimps as an appetizer! We were 3 and they charged us almost 300$ and we didn’t even order a lot of stuff! We ordered 3 DIFFERENT cocktails but in the bill they charged us the most EXPENSIVE cocktail 3 times instead of putting what we actually ordered in first place! They already charge you 18% tip in your bill without even telling you or it DOES NOT MENTION anywhere this will be charged into your bill! I ended up giving 15% more tip on top of it! I haven’t been to a hookah lounge in ages, so I was delighted to have the opportunity to check this place out not too long ago. I can honestly say that I was blown away with how good the food was. I’ve never been to a hookah lounge that ACTUALLY serves good food! All the dips were amazingly executed. The labneh (creamy cheesy yogurt) was so rich and delicious. Their house made pickles were to die for- reminded me of Barbarians pickles. The pides had a nice chewy dough, and toppings were fresh! I loved how one of them had the addition of mint on it. Their kofta (meatball) is sooo tender, and was accompanied with a yummy tomato sauce with whipped feta cheese (personally I just wished the sauce had a bit of spice to it).
