Worst Customer Service Experience
I usually avoid leaving negative reviews, but this experience truly warrants one.
On the night of April 29th (early morning of April 30th), I went to this particular McDonald’s location to pick up a DoorDash order. Upon arriving, I noticed most of the staff were busy working, so I patiently waited for about 5 minutes for someone to assist me. While others were occupied in the kitchen, one lady with specks finally addressed me in a very rude manner, saying the order wasn’t ready.
I calmly told her I was okay to wait. However, after waiting for 20 minutes, I politely asked again how long it might take. To my surprise, she began shouting at me, saying she only had two hands and that it was nighttime. Despite there being 3–4 staff members present and the store not being particularly busy compared to mornings, her tone was completely uncalled for. She then told me to either continue waiting or “get out of the store.”
Up to that point, I had remained calm despite her attitude. But after being spoken to like that, I told her this was not how you treat customers and asked for her name so I could share feedback. That escalated the situation even more—she started shouting loudly and even said if I left a review, she would call the safety helpline.
I’m sharing this not to get anyone in trouble but to raise a concern about how poorly I was treated. Waiting for an order is not an issue—but being disrespected certainly is. I’d like the management to seriously consider training staff in proper customer service and professionalism. Is this really how a customer...
Read moreThis location is within proximity to a local high school that High School has about 2000 students and staff and McDonalds employee DARLENE is consistently and has been for years harassing and threatening students that come into the McDonald’s for lunch and after school. It’s necessary to identify bullies to hold them responsible for their actions and to OUT them otherwise they continue bullying. This employee is discriminating against the students. She is a bully and is belligerent rude and threatens them with calling the police, even though they are patronising and purchasing food and drink. She threatens to call the police for just being there. She won’t allow them to sit down. She tells them they have to leave. This has been happening for years. I feel that the manager Sarah is already aware and hasn’t done anything . McDonald’s is supposed to be a fun place for children of all ages and McDonald’s is also known to have good customer service. This is absolutely abysmal and unacceptable. These students come in and that restaurant profits from their money. They should be treated with respect and not harassed and bullied by a disgruntled embittered discriminatory employee. Lastly, it is of great concern considering there are many teenage student employees within your organisation so if she is treating customers this way how well is she treat her fellow coworkers? In some cases its a students first job working there. The other employees can’t do anything because Darlene bullies them into silence and has been working there behaving this way for years. Beware!!! Of...
Read more☹️☹️☹️☹️I’m writing this text or review while I feel badly disrespected , I just went to this McDonald simply to order a small regular coffee , first of all she didn’t say anything like hello or what can I get you ? So I said hello , and I simply said : Can I have a small regular coffee ? And she said “ ok but you have to pay for it “” honestly first I didn’t understand what she had said because it was to noisy there and she didn’t speak English clearly or her voice wasn’t clear , and I asked what she said , she repeated “ you have to pay for it , and this time I heard what she said but because I was shocked by what she had said I couldn’t believe that a staff can be this much impolite and inexperienced , I asked again and she said “ you have to pay for that , Friends , who are reading this text , that was a horrible experience , I don’t look like beggars and I look quite normal with very clean clothes , it was so impolite so impolite ,even now I’m writing this I don’t know how to say the bad feeling that such a staff made in me … after long time living in Canada , why this person should speak to people , She didn’t know that when a person says “ can I have something …. It’s a polite formal way of ordering not begging !!!! I talked to the supervisor and gave me a meaningless excuse that some people go there and ask free coffee !!! I said : what’s that to me , They really disrespected me and I think the owner and the supervisor are responsible for this matter !!! I didn’t and couldn’t drink the coffee that I had paid for it because I was that much offended...
