Nonna Lia (at Kung Fu Tea) — Restaurant in Richmond Hill

Cute nostalgic establishment on Bathurst south of Lawrence. There’s ample parking. Ive been coming here for over almost 2 years. The flavour has been consistent. The staff are very friendly and informative. I dont usually like overly sweet things and this tiramisu hits the spot with the right amount of sweetness. Thoroughly such a big fan of all of their tiramisu flavours. I always get the pistachio, matcha, lavender/earl grey tiramisu. Also their gelato bars are so decadent, rich, and creamy. Would highly recommend the pistachio flavour. I met the owner as well and he was very receptive and friendly. I mentioned to him my love of the pistachio gelato bars and how i liked the thickness of the gelato bar coating and the creaminess and mentioned how I wished they were available weekly at the time. Unfortunately at that time he mentioned that the pistachio flavour was not the flavour of thw week but to check in the day after. The owner was a man of his word and ever since,whenever I was craving the pistachio gelato flavour, its been available via the uberears app at my local Nonna Lia distributor in Richmond Hill. Im not sure if he made this flavour a staple available flavour but im a happy camper. I went into the Nonna Lia location on bathurst yesterday and the front counter girl said all the flavours were available which was so shocking because I didn’t need to make a second choice from my usual pistachio choice haha. I also ordered the Gianduja which i keep forgetting the name for but when I mentioned the chocolate hazelnut one, the girl immediately knew haha. Anyway 10000000/10 recommend this place. I ordered the regular tiramisu and it was to die for!!! The consistency of it was so creamy and unlike any other tiramisu I have ever tasted before. In all honesty, I’ve never considered myself a huge tiramisu fan… usually the ones I order either have too much of a coffee taste or are really soggy and gross. This however knocked my socks off!! It’s absolutely incredible!! When I brought it home I put a few slices strawberries on the top and it was even better! I really wish this did come in a bigger size especially for a $20 price point but honestly, I felt like this was very much worth it! Never tried a tiramisu like this before and will honestly...

I ordered 1 "regular" tiramisu 8 inch and 1 mango tiramisu 8 inch online. I requested to be delievered on a sunday. It was super easy. I then texted the number provided in the confirmation email to confirm the timing of the delivery as it was for a birthday surprise. Got a response right away. Received a tracking number and got several notifications that it was out for delivery.
