Papa Cafe & Pastry — Restaurant in Richmond Hill

My wife ordered a cake for my 2 years old son's birthday. She asked them to decorate it with some toys which my son loves them. when I came to pick the cake up I noticed that they sent the toys to another location and missed my order. It is common to make a mistake; however, we should be responsible for our mistakes. The cashier who was the only person who works in the front blame the busy day. The other rude guy who came from the back instead of finding solution to help customer wanted to escalate the issue. The reason that I decided to write this review is that when my wife came to their store after two days to pick up the toys, the rude guy again start arguing with her instead of apologizing. It’s such an unexpected pleasant surprise! I was having a business call that day and I was close to PAPA bakery shop. I’d seen it many times passing by. Coming in store my eyes were looking at plenty of colorful elements. I was amazed, & admired the heart of the people behind this setup. I had had coffee before coming so I asked if they had tea. At first the lady said they only have hot caffeine beverages (because it was in the winter months) but after a quick second she made me tea in a bag. I wanted a piece of cake; she suggested to go with some freshly bake cheese slice ( but I’m a fan of green tea everything )

I loved mostly the vibe of this store. It’s chill, homey and pretty. These ladies didn’t try to sell but offer helpful suggestions which I appreciated. I had a great time in...

Everything here was top notch! Was passing by and couldn’t resist the amazing interior.

Didn’t know what to expect when the wife and I headed in. We just knew it was a Persian bakery and wanted to grab some type of sweets for a get together we were having with a few friends

The owner was super nice and she was very patient and thorough in explaining everything to us.

We opted for some of the Persian baklava, which by the way were amazingly delicious!

Nice, crunch to the pastry and sweet without it being that baklava we all know to be insanely sweet. That was the nice part!

The cakes looked amazing but we were not going to have accessibility to a fridge to keep it cool that day, but looks like we will definitely come back to this stunning looking establishment!
