This has to be the worst Popeyes location I've been to. I've started going to another location even though this one is right by my house. If you go during the dinner rush the staff act confused, look like they have no idea what they're doing and more than once my order has been completely wrong and in ways that make no sense. A particular time when I had ordered chicken tenders inside my box was just an entire chicken filet that's used for the burger and a handful of fries. As if you could do that without noticing? They've also refused to give extra dipping sauce even when I had offered to pay extra. Another time I asked for cocktail sauce with my shrimp the person threw tartar sauce in my bag. I politely asked him to change it and he said "It's the same thing" and shoved the bag in my face and walked away. Thought to remedy this by picking up at a quieter time, an hour or so after dinner rush and then they don't even have all of the menu items available or you have to sit there waiting ages for it. Decided to try a different Popeyes location and it was a completely different experience. I worked and managed a fried chicken franchise location in my early 20's so I know how hard it can be but this place is...
Read morecame in and asked if they could make fresh fries - they insisted the fries sitting in the heater was HOT. served it to me, i tried it in the car and they were barely warm. i wasn't trying to be a jerk about it but everything looked like it's been sitting for a while. i came back in and had to pressed them more, asked the manager to try it if she insisted it was HOT. pretty much flatter asking 3/4x, she finally made me a fresh batch. it wasn't even 830 pm, understanding if it was closer to 10 pm i would've been the jerk. i mean it's fast food, it literally took them less than 4 minutes to fry a fresh batch, they were just lazy and trying to get ready to close. but 2/3 customers came in while i waited for the fries. it's just weird to be fast food but not actually want to make it fresh/hot, rather cook it all and let it sit and sell...
Read moreI tried Popeyes' boneless chicken wings recently, and it was a complete disappointment. The "wings" were small bite size pieces of clearly formed chicken pieces that had a spongy texture and tasted nothing like real chicken. In fact, the flavor was downright disgusting. On top of that, the thick, fatty breading completely overpowered what little substance there was, leaving the whole experience unpleasant.
I also tasted their special of the day: six spicy wings. Unfortunately, these were no better—tiny bones with barely any meat, drowned in dark fatty brown spicy breading. There was almost no actual chicken to enjoy.
This experience was horrible and far below the standard I expect from Popeyes. I sincerely hope they improve the quality of these items because this was not worth the...
