The manager at this Wild Wing location needs to be held accountable for the abominable job that was done in operating this restaurant on Superbowl Sunday.
What happened:
At about 5pm, food couriers and customers, including myself, entered the restaurant to pick up their orders that were scheduled to be ready. Unfortunately, the orders were not ready. Not even close to ready. As is normal practice for most restaurants during COVID-19 and due to the low volumes of customers present at any one time, most of the floor space space was restricted. The restaurant retained about 1/3 of the floor space for people to wait using caution tape, tables and chairs to block off and delineate the "waiting space". As more and more drivers and customers began to enter the restaurant, disappointed that they had to wait for their orders, the busier the inside of the restaurant became. There were one or two employees occasionally coming out with a few prepared orders every 10 minutes then disappearing to the kitchen to work on preparing the obvious backlog of orders. Over an hour after I entered the restaurant, there were now about 30 people waiting for orders. As a result, social distancing of 2 metres apart was impossible to achieve within the waiting space provided. Most of those waiting were being very civilized and patient, with an obvious understanding that the staff at the restaurant were overwhelmed. There were so many people waiting inside that I had to physically move tables and remove caution tape to permit the entire floor space available for people to wait a safe distance apart. The restaurant staff did not take this initiative themselves for what was obviously a more important issue than orders not being prepared on time. What was incredibly disappointing is that the restaurant staff initially expressed their frustration with the customers that had taken this initiative themselves and who opened up the entire restaurant floor space to wait for their orders. There were even a few customers, myself included, who genuinely offered the staff at the restaurant some help in distributing the prepared orders to everyone waiting, in an effort to alleviate an incredibly stressful situation for the staff. I was waiting for about 1 hr and 30 min before my order was ready so I can only assume that this was the case for most of the other customers and food couriers. I would also like to note that Wild Wing does not offer curbside pick-up, and since it was -15 degrees outside, people obviously chose to wait inside where it was warm.
I can only pray that none of us in the restaurant were infected with the COVID-19 virus. There could very well be a spread of the virus as a direct consequence of the mismanagement of this Wild Wing location. I commend all the customers during this situation for their overall patience, understanding, and civilized conduct, including employing the proper use of face coverings the entire time. I have a picture of the inside of the restaurant while approximately 30 people were waiting for their orders, but will not post it to protect the privacy of those who were there.

Read moreSo, on March, 16, 2019 I visited the Yonge Street Richmond hill location. I went in thinking me and my family were gonna get good tasty food for a good price, but it was far from it. You would know there food might not be the greatest when you just walk in, there was nobody, at 6 pm there was nobody!!!! The only people that were there were this art group that was painting on the other side of the first booths when you walk in. Then we ordered our food thinking of a juicy meal but not knowing the horror to come. So, I ordered just some normal wings, my brother ordered a hamburger, my dad ordered a salad and my mom ordered some fish and chips. After this the wait time for the food to come was okay, a little over 20 mins. When the food came the wings didn't look half bad the burger was well presented And the fish and chips visually looked great, but then there was the salad, it was a soggy jumbuly mess of lettuce and croutons, it looked horrible. Then came the eating part, let's start of with my wings. They tasted very mediocre and you could tell the only thing they use to give the chicken taste was this wired seasoning like the stuff you would see in the packets of 25 cent ramen. Then the burger my brother said it tasted pretty good it was not medium rare as he told the waiteress but he said it was good. Then came the salad, my dad hated it, he said it tasted at bad as it looked with him describing a very fishy and oily taste to the lettuce, and after a few pieces he set it aside having lost his appetite. Then came the worst part, the fish and chips. The chips having come with such great presentation really had made my mom hungry to eat it. It started out good with her liking the taste until she got to the middle.... It was stone cold and RAW yes you read that right it was like they had slapped it on the plate right out of the freezer. Then that was the end of the line. We called the waitress over and told her that it was raw and she even felt it to see how cold it was. The waitress was actually very nice about it she apologized, then took the fish and chips out of the bill, have my dad a new salad that he said it was " a little better" and she also gave use four free slices of cheescake, 2 of them were blueberry and 2 of the were chocolate. All in all I did not have a good experience and I feel that you should save your money and not come here, or at least this location if you really like Wild Wings. But to me this place is a real...
Read moreA group of friends and I (total of 9 people) went to the restaurant around 9pm on nov 19th. I understand that we were a large group, as well as many businesses struggling with staffing, but the service we received was the one of the worst I’ve experienced.
While ordering the waitress had a hard time understanding what we were trying to order (not because of noise but because there was an obvious lack of knowledge with the menu), and even after we placed our order we waited at LEAST 30 minutes just for our drinks.
After at least an hour and a half we got our food, which many orders were slightly incorrect or completely wrong. We received many drinks that were flat or lacked flavour, and after trying to explain that the syrup may be out, we gave up and ordered water. When we finished our meal, we had to fight with the waitress about our food, as we shouldn’t have to pay for some things we didn’t ask for. (We tried to send them back but she just stood there holding it out to us even after we said it wasn’t what we ordered).
We asked for separate checks, which I understand is a lot for 9 people, but she had no clue what any of us ordered. Someone in our group had to make a list of our orders and go and assist the waitress in entering them as she didn’t know how to use the till system. I am never the type to complain as I have worked in customer service for years, and I can excuse bad service if the waitress’s is understanding and apologetic about the situation, but unfortunately she was not.
The food was still very good, and the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. I’m not writing this review to get this employee in trouble, rather to show that there is a clear lack of training and understanding at this location that should...
