If you ramen lover, let say this is Real ramen - even this is a chain restaurant. Located in Residential neighbourhood north Richmond hill. Unless you close by mostly need car. Order: ====== Tonkotsu Black - really good!. Port bone broth, rich flavour and creamy. Pork is lightly grilled, super good! By default 2 slides, quite small, could order extra. Egg is average. Miso black - super good. Pork bone broth with miso flavour, small mush room very tasty and this one come with thicker and bigger portion Pork which is extremely tasty. This is my favourite. This one in the menu it said spicy - which is complete misleading. It is NOT spicy at all. Customize order: ============ Salt level - yes, I asked less salt still end up too salty, the waitress is very nice she offer me extra bowel of clear broth. Next time ask for half salty. But I really like the extra broth :) thank you:) btw no flexibility less noodle, replace egg etc. Environment: 5 star =========== Small cozy nice decor, not loud. Services: 5 star =========== Very good, waitress very friendly she also brought me a container for leftovers. Price: 5 stars ======= $11.5 for a regular ramen, 13.75 for miso black, pretty good. Mongo cheese cake šŸ° yummy

Myself and four others went on a Saturday night at 9 pm. The restaurant was fairly busy, and there was not much accommodation for groups larger than 4. The restaurant was clean with stylish wooden decorations. Our server was very patient and friendly and answered all our questions as best as she could. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen with thin noodles, and found it to be pretty good. I did feel that for $11.50, it was a smaller portion compared to other ramen restaurants without being much higher in quality, if at all. The thin noodles had a great texture, but the broth itself looked a little frothy which was something I wasn't used to. My friends had mixed reviews about their dishes, and one did not like his black tonkatsu ramen broth at all. The gyudon side also seemed very lackluster and not at all worth the price. This place also charged $2.00 for a cup of hot tea, which I found pretty ridiculous for an Asian establishment. Although the service and atmosphere are great, the ramen itself is a bit overpriced compared to some other establishments. The side orders are underwhelming, and I didn't feel great about getting charged for tea when most Asian restaurants offer it for free.

How is the food? I like their ramen a lot, I’ve tried other ramen shop such as Konjiki and Santouka as well and I think this shop is right up there with them. For their Tonkatsu black, I actually like it the most and I think they probably even taste better than Konjiki and Santouka. (for those of you who dont know, when I refer to Konjiki, I am referring the creamy broth, not the clam broth) so I really recommend the Tonkatsu black ramen from this shop. Get the thick noodle, their noodle texture is great, and the broth is also very nice. Their mango cheesecake is also very nice, they chill it so it tastes extra special! How is the service? the service is good, no complaints Anything to know? we went on a day that they had the $18 combo special, but feel free to go to them any day. because even without the combo, it still costs the same, some cost even less. in fact, if you don’t get the cold tea, it will almost always cost less than $18 dollars. just order tontastu black plus mango cheesecake and you are good! Recommend? Yes!

We have been to this location for years. Even though we have found better tasting Ramen in aurora, we should still continued to come once in a while. Most of our friends and family find ramen from here can be too salty. Today we bought a small cake for 6 of us for our son's 8th birthday. Not only the owner refused to let us have it in the store after meal, he also refused to let his employee put it in the fridge for us. The cake was left on the counter. He said that the whole sensotei Ramen chain is not allowed to have any outside cake because of allergy reason. My husband explained ingredients are written on there. Then he quickly said its also because they also have cakes for sale in the store. He would not make an exception for us and made my 8 year old cry because he couldn't even have his small birthday cake.

First if all, we would love to check out other sansotei ramen stores and see if this no cake policy is true. Regardless, we understand there may be food restrictions for good reasons. But the way the owner/manager dealt with this was terrible, not for a second he sounded sympathic or apologetic.

If you are looking for good food and friendly place to eat, this is not the place. They clearly do not care for their customers and have no sympathy for even little kids. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Update response from September 25, 2024.

Thank you owner for your quick response.

My apologies for the misunderstanding regarding the cake placement. My husband saw you shake your head while the waitress tried to put the cake in the fridge and he saw her leaving it on the counter. He did not see her placing it in the fridge after.

However, I would like to emphasis that the NO CAKE policy is ONLY FOR YOUR LOCATION. I have reached out to two other Sansotei locations in the surrounding area and they responded that would be more than happy to accept the cake. I just wanted to clarify this for future customers that it is not policy that applies to all Sansotei Ramen restaurants!

I understand your concern for other customers and I would like to state clearly that the restaurant was very empty (12pm) when we were there. Moreover, the cake was sealed in an brand new container and never opened after we purchased from the store. All ingredients were listed on package which was sealed. It was a regular chocolate cake that was no customized ingredients added at all.

Regardless, it is sad for us to say good bye to a restaurant that we have been...

Ramen noodles where extremely salty. And we asked for them to reduce the salt already... I have no idea how much salty it could get if we didn't ask to reduce the salt. Service is good but not authentic Japanese ramen. As expected for a chain Asian restaurant. Over priced for the food they served. Very little portion sizes,

In reply to management reply: I have no idea why you feel the need to deflect your responsibility of the salty content in your food to someone else. maybe you should be using this time to train your servers better at explaining that Less salty is not your least salty option instead of justifying why your soup is salty.

Your prices are High not because of your drink or desert menu but because of your Ramen add-on, I ordered a tonkotsublack Ramen $9.85 with Extra Char siu $2.00, and I received 2 thinly sliced pork 3 inch in diameter by 1/8"thick, When I asked the server if I had received my extra Char Siu he replied that the second slice was the Extra. I don't know how you can call this competitive pricing for the additional price of 2 dollars for a thinly sliced pork that's 3" inch in diameter. I've been to other ramen places like Ryu's noodle bar and their add on for extra Char Siu is significantly more generous than yours. I'm simply giving...
