Enjoy Cafe 1+1 — Restaurant in Richmond

food is decent. Service is lousy. I ordered some food and on the waiter told me it come with some free drinks then I order a cup of hat Honey lemonade. The waiter did told me there is an extra charge for the drink but then I asked how much more he didn't reply and walked away. When my bill came the drink was $4.55. How could the drink be included in the meal which was free be $4.55 more. Here is how they explain the situation: Normally it comes with lemonade with no honey. But because I added honey I have to pay for a full price. I asked the waited what if I just order the lemonade alone without the honey than what would he charge me for the drink and he reply "it's free". Then I asked him what if I asked for sugar or honey as sweetener and he reply "free"..They keep saying, they only charged me what ever is on the menu. I told him, it clearly saids on the bottom of the menu that a meal will come with a coffee or lemon tea or lemon water. And because I added a few drops of honey I was charge $4.55. Its ridiculous. It's a ripped off. Didn't have the time to stand there and argued. I have more thing to do then standing arguing over that. Paid and left to do my Christmas shopping with the family. I don't like that people trying to take advantage of other. This restaurant is now off my list.....don't get scam people. I am sure there are a lot of restaurants out there are doing that hoping customers don't catch them. But this time this one is...

While the food was undoubtedly delicious, the service left much to be desired. The staff displayed a notable lack of patience and warmth, which significantly impacted the overall dining experience. One of the employees mistakenly delivered the wrong order, and when we politely requested a correction, she argued that our instructions had been unclear—despite us being very specific. Her response was curt, and she walked away with a noticeable attitude. After this exchange, we were left waiting for an additional 30 minutes for the correct dish to arrive. Shortly after the food arrived, we inquired about the delay, given that the restaurant was not particularly busy. We were only curious as to why the food had taken so long to prepare, as the low volume of customers suggested that a slower pace was unlikely due to high demand. But after asking, they responded with, “the foods just difficult to correct,” and immediately walked away with haste without another word. In conclusion, while the quality of the food was commendable, the lackluster service and extended wait time significantly detracted from the overall experience. The unprofessional attitude displayed by the staff and the delays in fulfilling our order left much to be desired. Unfortunately, these shortcomings overshadowed the otherwise promising...

This place used to be a karoke bar many many years ago. The owner hasn't renovated the restaurant since it was converted to restaurant back in the 90s. That's why you see there are rooms in the restaurant which used to be karoke rooms. Parking here during the day can be a pain but usually there is one or two spaces available as people come and go often. At night there are more parking available because most of the other shops are closed after 5PM. When I go to Enjoy Cafe 1+1 I usually order their fried rice. This is a Hong Kong style cafe restaurant which serves Cantonese food. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor. Elderly people can take the elevator...which can be slow. The food here is decent and portion is decent size too. Most other Chinese HK style cafe offers cold drinks at an additional cost but Enjoy Cafe 1+1 is offer cold drink for free when purchasing certain dishes.

Update: Purchased take out during pandemic and the fried rice cake Shanghai style has a burnt taste. A few slices of the rice cakes were charred. If I were having this in the restaurant it would be returned. Unfortunately it was take out order. Deducted a star for poor quality food. I am very sure the chef who made this was well aware it was burnt. 😡Also the menu prices have gone up since the last time I was in...
