Wow! If I have a choice not to even give a star I would definitely do it! I totally agree for all of the bad service review, because I just had a super bad experience there yesterday Dec 20!

1st, We booked a table and was there on time but we still need to wait for our seat, however, this is still acceptable. Cuz I am pretty sure other restaurants might have this issue, cuz they are good?

2nd, such a big restaurant but only 2 waitress was actually on the floor taking orders, 1 cashier, 1 server & 1 waiter is busy packing to go boxes!

3rd, the food is only ok, not hot at all! but the price is expensive compared to others!

Lastly, which is the most ridiculous thing. We were at 90% finishing our meal, but there's one more dish haven't come yet, we tried to ask the waitress who walk passed us 2 times, (right next to our table) look at you but she ignore us, 10mins later, when we were 95% finishing our meal, we tried to call her again for the 3rd time, we can finally stopped her, we told her that one dish haven't come yet, and we would like to cancel, cuz we were finishing up already, she said ok and then went back to set up the table, when there's no one is waiting. 15 more mins later, 100% finished our meal, the dish still haven't come, we asked the server who just bring a dish out from the kitchen to cancel the dish n give us the bill. After we ask him to cancel, he went into the kitchen and bring out the dish that we have been waiting! We told him that, we have asked the waitress we tried to call 3 times to cancel already, and we do not want to have it anymore, becuz we have already finished our meal. The server bring back the dish and all of a sudden, that waitress came to our table, yelling at us (literally yelling, no kidding) telling us, she didn't go n cancel becuz she know the chef is making it already! I was speechless at that moment! Is this how u yell at your customer? If u know your customers want to cancel but the chef is already making it, u do not need to let your customers know and just walk away? Fine, we let her be, we asked for the bill. After 5mins, she came back to the table yelling again, complaining that we didn't call her 3 times! Seriously? Yes, we didn't SUCCESSFULLY call her 3 times but 1, even tho I swear she knows we were asking for help, she kept ignoring us! This is the very first time We got yell at by a waitress in a restaurant, totally agree to 1 of the review, they always have a "reasonable" response! No customer service AT ALL! Why spend so much...

I'm going to preface this with the fact that you don't come here for good service. The food here is delicious and authentic, but if you're looking for quality service you probably want to go elsewhere. More on that later.

My party got the Tan Tan Noodles, steamed pork buns(Xiao Long Bao), pan fried pork buns, and Kung Pao chicken, and stir fried garlic pea shoots. The soup/sauce for the Tan Tan Noodles was thick and peanut-y, the steamed pork buns and pan fried pork buns were both filled with soup, Kung Pao chicken had the "wok hei" that I was looking for, and pea shoots were fresh and tender.

In terms of food, my only complaint was that the pan fried buns didn't have very much meat and weren't crunchy so much as exceedingly chewy. I enjoyed the chewiness, but was hoping the fried bottom would be more on the crunchy side. They had a surprising amount of soup in them, which was nice because usually the thicker bun soaks up the soup, but was probably also why there was so little meat. The filling can still be juicy even if it's not overflowing with soup, so the trade-off wasn't worth it to me.

In terms of service, again, I walked in not expecting anything stellar in terms of service. The only somewhat unexpected and upsetting thing that happened was that a server cleared away our Tam Tam noodles before we were done. She stacked used bowls in it before I could say anything and was gone like the wind. There wasn't a whole lot left, but usually you get asked before your dishes get cleared away.

For those who are concerned about COVID, this place has plexiglass separating all the tables, which can be nice.

There is a free parking lot on site for the entire plaza. My party went Weds evening and there was plenty of...

We had a thoroughly satisfying meal at this Shanghainese restaurant, where every dish was served fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The menu featured a wide variety of classic Shanghai specialties, and everything we ordered was well-prepared and delicious.

We especially enjoyed the xiao long bao (soup dumplings), potstickers (鍋貼), and pan-fried soup buns (生煎包)—all were generously filled with juicy, well-seasoned meat and flavorful broth. The xiao long bao had delicate, thin wrappers that held the soup perfectly, while the potstickers and pan-fried buns were crisp on the bottom and soft on top, offering the perfect texture contrast.

The Shanghai-style stir-fried rice cakes were chewy and savory with a nice wok hei aroma, and the beef noodle soup had a rich, comforting broth with tender slices of beef. The wok-fried cabbage with Chinese ham was simple but flavorful, with the ham adding a subtle umami depth.

We also tried the sweet and sour fish fillet (糖醋魚柳), which was a pleasant surprise. The sauce was thick, well-balanced, and not overly sweet or tangy, complementing the crispy fish perfectly.

For dessert, we had the pan-fried red bean pancake (豆沙鍋餅)—crispy on the outside and filled with warm, sweet red bean paste—and the gaoli dousha (高力豆沙), a fluffy, deep-fried egg-white pastry also filled with red bean, light and indulgent at the same time.

Every dish reflected authentic Shanghainese flavors and careful preparation. This is a fantastic spot for those looking to enjoy traditional Shanghai cuisine in a satisfying and comforting setting. I’ll definitely be...
