Hanami Express — Restaurant in Richmond

So bad I had to immediately go and brush my teeth afterwards.

I'm not a picky eater and don't like to leave reviews but this is honestly the worst "meal" I have ever attempted to eat in my life - just what you want before a long international flight.

For a $20 bowl of noodle soup, you would think they would at least attempt to cook something but instead the cold, uncooked ingredients are fished out of plastic containers and served to you immediately right in front of your eyes. The wontons were ice cold in the middle, the broccoli uncooked, and putrid jelly excuse for beef probably hasn't been actual meat for some time.

Terrible food and terrible service! I wish I checked the reviews first before ordering here. The soups are tasteless and as boring as it looks. The pictures on the menu didn’t even resemble what was served! On top of that, I asked politely for no onion in my order, and the lady in the photo yelled, “Whaaat? Of course! We never put onion in all noodles!” Like, why so mad? I was just asking because the menu made it look like there was onion in the dish. All the staff seemed so irritated, too. Maybe they don’t like their jobs or something, but it made the whole experience really uncomfortable. Zero customer service skills. Definitely won’t be coming back here. Save your money and go...

Suprised at the amount of hate this wee place gets. I was wary of it because reviews were terrible, but they are the same for all other fast food places at YVR.

Prices are what you'd expect at a proper sit-down restaurant, sure, but it is at an airport. The mark-up should be expected.

I ordered the teriyaki beef rice and actually enjoyed it lots. Generous portions that got me through a 5hr flight no issue and kind staff. Like, the only people to wish me a happy new year in all of Vancouver lol.
