This was easily the worst dining experience I have had in a long time. As per their sign at the entrance, we waited to be seated while others happily sat themselves. The hostesses hardly seemed to notice or care and dealt with them first. There was zero concept of first in first out as we watched others orders being taken who came in well after us. After eventually ordering, the food runner eventually came out holding avocado toast and a pizza. He asked “did you order avocado toast?” To which we told him we did not. Unbeknownst to us we just gave away the pizza in his other hand which was apparently ours. He then brought it to a table which had just sat down before coming back 2 minutes later to place it on a different table. They then brought out my pesto chicken sandwich and accused us of refusing the pizza. We were never asked about a pizza being ours, only if we had ordered avocado toast. The runner then begins arguing saying it’s our fault we didn’t claim the pizza in his other hand as ours. We had wanted them to remake it but realizing the time, I asked our waitress to cancel the pizza due to our departure needs. We then were left sitting for another 10 minutes waiting on the bill, causing us to rush for our flight. We sat down at the restaurant originally with two hours to spare before boarding. This establishment had absolutely abysmal organization. Never brought us silverware, never checked on us/drinks, never asked us how...
Read moreOrdered the avocado toast. I took one bite and knew it’s was the powder or tube kind (you know the one you get at subway). That distinct taste is Unignorable . It’s was a thinly spread layer as well. Not even half of an avocado was used. I couldn’t personally eat more than one slice. For 16$ this was robbery. Now beside the fact that no one checked on us or started our order until we sat for 20 (i don’t mind this because i know what it’s like to be slammed and short staffed) I had to grab someone to let them know I couldn’t eat it. They proceeded to say I ate too much of it to refund it and basically argued with the manager for 5 minutes around other guests (this was a terrible experience).they also said that because we sat far away is why we were ignored. What? That’s a magical argument. The WHOLE restaurant is your responsibility and YOU SAT ME THERE. Regardless, I kept it profesh but feel like “delight the customer “ mentality was out the window. In the end I got my refund but had to battle for that. Anywho, this place will never get business from me again and I do caution others that triple Os might be a better choice 10 feet away.
I rarely write a review (let alone a bad one). I was so fired up and here we are.
Do better. And ensure your quality reflects your prices and when the two don’t align, own up to it and eat the 3$ plate you put in...
Read moreStopped at the Vino Volo in the US terminal before my overnight flight. Open until 10-11 pm depending on the night, when I got through security and customs around 8:45 it was the last table service restaurant open. Since the airport was not very busy at this hour, the restaurant was quiet. The waitstaff were nice and very attentive, and my food was also prepared quickly. Pizza - I ordered a veggie pizzette. The pizzette is a thin individual-sized flatbread. Not impressive but not bad. Not something you would hope to get at a dedicated pizza restaurant, but comparable to the flatbreads at a lot of generic bars. It was satisfying but light and not greasy, making it an ideal meal before getting on a plane. Dessert - Got the lemon shortbread tart this time. I was also here just for dessert a few years ago and got the flourless chocolate torte. I think the chocolate torte is the superior choice between the two. Very rich. The lemon tart was not bad, just plain. It's the usual slightly inflated airport prices. $19 for a pizzette and $10 for dessert. If you don't expect anything fancy it's a...
