Yanbian BBQ — Restaurant in Richmond

This place is legit. Real authentic Yanbian flavours. I ordered the skewers and they were smoky and delicious with a touch of cumin. The guobaoru is done authentic and is very crispy and tasty.

Guobaorou is called Guobaorou in Chinese and in Korea. It is also written as glutinous rice tangsuyuk Guobaorou which means thinly sliced pork and fried with starch. Guobaorou is a dish that is usually eaten with a mixture of sweet and sour sauce This dish was made while serving foreign envoys during the Qing Dynasty in the past. It is still widely loved in Korea and China.

Imagine wanting to treat your father in law to a nice hot meal after a 10 hour flight, but the restaurant could care less about your reservation. Not sure what the point of making a reservation at 8:30pm if the place is fully packed and they have not made any preparation for you... Sure the food is good, but why even bother telling people they can make reservations if you can't meet expectations? Extremely disappointing service. My friend recommended me must try this restaurant because they had very genuine Yanbian style BBQ. We waited for around one hour but it worth. The best one must be Guo Bao Rou! It had no bone and the crust was thin which made me feel satisfied with protein 🥰 and the seasoning was good also… without boar taint! Must order this!
