Soft opening deal is unbeatable!! $9.95 for one meat plus rice. Located inside the plaza where Walmart is, next to Banh Mi Tres Bon. Arrived at 1pm and waited for 40 min for a line of about 20 people. Theres about 6 tables inside, each seats 2. It's the same line for eat in and take out. You order first and either take away or eat in (if there's a table). I watched them prepare the food and each take out box was filled with food, definitely not skimping. Eat in is even more. They fill the plate with at least 2 regular bowls worth of rice.
We tried all 4 types of meat. I would rate them in this order.
#1 Crispy roasted pork - skin was super crispy and the meat was flavourful and juicy pork belly with layers of fat and meat as usual. Highly recommend
#2 BBQ pork belly - be sure to get the BBQ pork Belly which is different from regular BBQ pork. The pork belly is more fatty and guaranteed tender.
#3 Soy sauce chicken - can use more salt and flavour, maybe there wasn't enough time to marinate given the amount of food they're pushing out everyday
#4 Roasted duck - also needs more salt but the skin was nice and crispy also. Roasted to perfection and meat was tender but just missing the flavour. Make sure you ask for duck sauce (the oil/umami container. Not...

Yummy BBQ hits the right flavors, but like what others have said portion size is key. I got the opening special for 2 meat choices (roast and BBQ pork). My roast pork was probably pork belly as it was essentially all fat and skin with a thin layer of meat.
I will have to go back and buy by the pound and compare it with HK BBQ to see which is better.
I think if you order the rice and meat, the meat they give is dependent on what they have available from a previous order so it's hit and miss. I will have to come back again...
Read moreThis place was insanely good. The pork belly was juicy and very rich which is to my liking. The duck has that crisp, firm skin with an excellent bite to it and soft meat bursting with flavor beneath. I tried to save some for later but unfortunately it didn't last the ride home. Personally I think it's better than HK BBQ Master.
Also, the service was exceptional and really welcoming. The staff were very friendly, smiling and when we sat down, we were actually offered drinks, dips and sauces. It makes my day, because a lot of the places I go to, the staff don't even say a word or a smile.
I can't wait to bring...
