Wild Wing — Restaurant in Rideau Lakes

Will never go back. Went in for the first time with the family on Friday night around 7pm-7:30. There were 4 of us. First the waitress forgot to punch in my beer... ok no big deal, these things happen. But we waited about an hour for food. After the food arrived, the first 2 dishes were clearly on a warmer for god knows how long. The fries were rubbery and the carrots/celery that came with the wings were warm. Most of the sauce for the wings was at the bottom of the basket. Someone in our group ordered a side of mayo which she never recieved, she had to hunt down another waitress to get one. We watched our waitress literally sit on a table beside the large table she was taking orders for.... the table she sat on had a poor older couple sitting at it... gross. After we waited over an hour for food, we placed another order for boneless bites as we got the all you can eat special and asked for more dip. The waitress had the audacity to inform us there was an extra charge for more dip. Seriously.... after having to hunt down literally any employee for more mayo, for having to ask for my beer I ordered, after giving us poor quality food, we were informed there is an extra charge for dip? She apologized for the wait but service was poor, food quality was awful. The bill was $110 for 4 meals that were not fresh. The second and third order of boneless bites came out faster and were more fresh, but after the first order I was completely turned off of this place. We were there for almost 3 hours. It was ridiculous and will never go back. I do understand it being busy and backed up, but the waitress did nothing to try and make anything right and only apologized when we asked how much longer it would be for our food. I wouldnt even be disappointed with the experience of the waitress even acknowledged that our wait was long.. but no one cared....

There is not enough staff to handle the demand. The 4 of us waited 30-40 minites for our apps, one of which was incorrect. We were given broccoli & cheddar bites instead of jalapeno poppers, the server said it was her fault and appologized and got it fixed for us, but when the poppers came out they were cold in the center. We didn't say anything because we knew she was really busy so we just ate them as is. Then we waited another 20 to 30 minutes for food. My husband ordered non breaded wings and was given breaded. It took awhile for the server to come back to tell her. When he told the server; she was obviously frustrated and went back to check what she had punched in. She than came back to the table and said "are you sure you didn't order traditional". We all said no, he ordered classic, he can't eat the breading. She rolled her eyes, and asked if we still wanted them. Meanwhile everone else was able to eat. He was told it would be another 30 minutes before the new ones would come out, so we asked to get them to go. It turned out to be 45ish, and we'd already paid. Mind you, we were not given any kind of discount for the errors and the fact that my husband couldn't even eat lunch with us. In fact, we were almost charged for the app we didn't order. It's unfortunate this happened, wild wings is usually great, I just think they need more staff and it would help accommodate, and prevent these issues. Oh and to top it off, when we got home the dipping sauce we were supposed to get with the wings...

AMAZING! My mom and I stopped in for a quick meal last Thursday (April 1) and the restaurant was quite busy. We were informed they were understaffed and it would be a long wait for food. Not a problem at all! Unfortunately for us, we were sat next to a table of extremely rude customers. During our approximately hour and a half at the restaurant, one of these customer harassed an employee not once, but twice, about getting a job there as they 'clearly needed the staff'. These customers berated every staff member available that night, as they ordered 1 meal to split between 2 of them, and were upset that the third diner didn't receive his food promptly, going on loudly about how unacceptable it was. The staff were apologetic, and did offer him a free drink and got him his food, and these people still wanted the entire meal paid for. Despite these unbelievably rude diners, our service was fantastic! All of the staff were working their hardest to keep things moving and honestly, did a great job! Our poor server, Kerri, looked like she was run right off her feet (we even offered to let her sit with us for a few minutes!) but they took it all in stride and provided a wonderful meal for us!
