A&W Canada — Restaurant in Smiths Falls

This A&W is ran so poorly. They close whenever they feel like it. Tonight January 10 2024 they decided to close before 11pm when they are supposed to be closed at 12am. The food is not great at all usually warm at best. I will not be going here again and I think the owner really needs to get control of this place. Good thing many other restaurants are opening in smiths falls. I can't see a poorly run restaurant like this one do any good. Staff are not that great either no smiles place isn't all that clean. You will smell gas if you decide to eat in because this place is connected to a gas station that smells of gas at times. Be careful in the parking lot in here as I said it's a gas station and people seem to drive more erratic. The view while you eat is looking at people fill there cars with gas. The dining area is connected with the gas station store so not really sanitary as people are walking in and out paying for gas using the washroom and buying items at the convenience store. There is not divider to separate store and restaurant so you basically eating in a dirty convenience store. I love A&W so this saddened me to realize how bad...

I quit going to A&W years ago because their fries were terrible. Now they are among the best in the industry. The atmosphere of this restaurant could stand some improvement. Every time I go there the tables are all dirty and there is always a stack of dirty mugs and trays waiting to be cleaned.

Update regarding fries: on my last few visits the quality of the fries has dropped significantly. It seems like they're not frying them as long as they used to. They are undercooked and not golden brown like they were before. I won't be...

I almost forgot I was eating at food place because of the service. The gentleman working as the cashier/order for sit in on Monday, May 1st around 11:30-11:45am was exceptional! He went around to each table and served the food to us and other patrons. He also went around and asked if the food was ok. He also asked if we needed another chair.
