McDonald's — Restaurant in Rivière-du-Loup

To start, the McDonald’s was very difficult to find coming off of the highway. When we arrived and tried to order on the screen, the receipt paper was empty. My friend then had to pay for her order at the counter. She explained to them in her best French that she is a longstanding McDonald’s employee, yet they refused to give her the discount. They also then explained to her that she could not have her hash brown (which she already paid for) as they did not serve them past 11am (it was 11:02). They gave her fries to compensate. My family and I proceeded to wait 15 minutes for our simple order, with several people being served before us. We could see our tray waiting behind the counter, so my mother then approached the counter to ask about the order and she was ignored for several minutes. They then simply told her it was coming. When we received our food it was starting to get cold. My friend then realized that her black iced coffee had sugar in it, so we approached the counter again. She settled for a Diet Coke as they REFUSED to remake her drink. Overall the food was room temperature, my fries were soggy and my cheeseburger was chewy. We were cycling on the trans Canada Trail and we decided to bicycle over the hill down to McDonald’s.

The food was great. The service was great, but unfortunately, we sat out on the street side patio to enjoy our meal.

The unfortunate situation and we couldn’t leave because we had our food and our bicycles And we didn’t have the lock to leave them unattended. So we had to stay on the patio. There was a individual who sat four tables away from us, and it’s very unfortunate that he continued to clear his throat and nose and spit on the ground. It was truly disgusting. I think he may have been unhoused or just lacked common decency.

I’m not even sure that the restaurant could do anything about this, and it might not be worth the problems that they created if they had spoken with him. We didn’t bring it to their attention at the time mainly because we expected there to be a...

Horrible service. We arrived on a Sunday morning and ordered at 9:28 At 9:45 we see the cashier take our order outside, but think maybe someone ordered exactly what we did. At 9:53 we go back to the cashier and explain many others who ordered after us have gotten their meal. The staff argues with us saying we gave you your order. I asked why don't we have our food. The cashier said we brought it to you in your car. Ok why would I come in order at the counter stand here and you take it to my car, how do you know what car I drive if i didnt go through the drive thru?
