I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cut The Crust By Mona, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the inviting and modern ambiance. The decor is tasteful and contemporary, creating a warm and welcoming environment that is perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. The staff at Cut The Crust By Mona are truly outstanding. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine smiles and a level of hospitality that is rare to find. The team is knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly passionate about providing top-notch service. They took the time to explain the menu, offer recommendations, and ensure that every aspect of my visit was perfect. Now, onto the star of the show – the pizza. The culinary expertise at Cut The Crust By Mona is evident in every bite. I opted for the Kadhai Paneer Pizza, and it exceeded all my expectations. The crust was a perfect blend of crispy and chewy, baked to perfection. The toppings were fresh, abundant, and thoughtfully paired to create a harmonious blend of flavors. Each ingredient was of the highest quality, and the attention to detail in the preparation was apparent. In addition to the pizza, the menu offers a variety of other delectable options, including wings all of which are crafted with the same level of care and precision. The beverage selection is also impressive
I also had the pleasure of trying two of their signature drinks – the Mango Lassi and the Pomegranate Devil. The Mango Lassi was a delightful blend of creamy yogurt and ripe mangoes, perfectly sweetened and refreshing. It was the ideal accompaniment to the spicy Kadhai Paneer Pizza, providing a cooling contrast. The Pomegranate Devil, on the other hand, was a vibrant and tangy concoction with a hint of spice, making it a unique and invigorating choice. Both drinks were beautifully presented and added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. Overall, my experience at Cut The Crust By Mona was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of a welcoming atmosphere, outstanding service, and exquisite food and drinks makes it a standout in the dining scene. I highly recommend Cut The Crust By Mona to anyone seeking a memorable and delightful dining experience. I look forward to returning soon and exploring more of their...
Read moreWe were excited to see a new pizza place opening in our 'hood, and tonight we decided to try it out for a late delivery dinner. And it was great!
We ordered two pizzas -- the quattro formaggio and wild mushroom -- and a large order of butter chicken poutine. The poutine was well-sauced, with a smooth butter chicken gravy and crisp fries. (I find many places under-sauce/gravy their poutine).
The wild mushroom pizza had actual wild mushrooms on it, and they were good enough to eat on their own (I may have done just that....) The QF pizza rightly highlights the gorgonzola and creamy fontina, and the fresh thyme on top was a lovely accent.
My only quibble is unrelated to the food quality:t he menu doesn't say that the QF is a pizza bianca -- i.e., no tomato sauce. That's a non-issue for me, as I'm a cheese purist and it is clearly the best way to showcase the cheeses, but it could be an issue for a tomato sauce aficianado.
We ordered through Skip the Dishes (it's late, dark outside, and we were feeling lazy) and it arrived right on time. We also got a free focaccia bread appy and marinara-style dipping sauce, and both were also delicious and showed a lot of love for good food.
We will definitely order again.
*Update: we ordered dinner on Christmas day as our extended family does a lunch rather than supper. We got the beef brisket pizza and it was amazing -- one of the most interesting and tasty pizzas I've ever had, and the ingredients were all top notch. We also got a tandoori chicken poutine and it was delicious, with just the right amount of heat, and the serving size was generous for 2-3 people to enjoy as a side dish. This is not your average take-out or...
Read moreWow! Do your tastebuds a favour and take them out for some scrumptious poutine or pizza at Cut the Crust by Mona. They're open very late so you've got ample opportunity to try their offerings.
This is my go-to place for pizza and poutine. I love that their pizzas are off-script in that they offer many flavours not available in traditional pizza places, such as butter chicken and tikka masala, and they use quality ingredients in all their offerings: pizzas, poutine, and drinks.
The tikka masala pizza has incredible heat to it. The butter chicken pizza and the poutine are terrific, in part because of the sauce, but also because CTCBM uses chicken (among other ingredients) that's not been frozen resulting in a more tender chicken than the more typical overcooked flattened chicken I've had at other places. For a pizza place, this choice puts the finished product above most, if not all, of its competitors.
Their drinks follow the same program of quality, fresh ingredients. There's pomegranate seeds and real, fresh juice in the Pomegranate's Devil, and fresh ginger and lime in Ginger Moscow Mule.
When my arms were full of pizza boxes and poutine bowls and drinks, they kindly helped me get all of this to my car. A1 service!
Note that this is primarily a pick-up your food and go place. There's no customer bathroom available, for example, and there are only about 4 tables in...
