This is an amazing family run store the way a family run store should be. Often you’ll find mom, dad, and son there, all super friendly and knowledgeable. The shop is loaded with cool things, and the shop itself as well as all their gaming stuff is meticulously clean and tested. The son knows everything you can imagine about gaming (modern and vintage), and the mom and dad aside from being quite knowledgeable about gaming too, know just about everything regarding how the gaming equipment works, and how to repair it. Don’t throw away your Amazon controllers anymore, just take them to these guys and they’ll fix em which is far cheaper than having to constantly buy new ones… many times I’ve been there I’ve seen mom fixing controllers. Now regarding the dad, he has a full repair shop and he is one of the most highly skilled techs in our city, he may even be the best. He can fix almost anything whether its video game consoles, and controllers, or even stereo equipment. He is the absolute best and I would never take my stuff anywhere else. My wife and I are from Florida, and we happened to find this shop while vacationing in Victoria. Everything about our experience in this store was amazing! I have been looking for a New 3DS XL for years in America, but could not find one for a reasonable price or in good condition. We struck up a conversation with the owner and they surprisingly had one in stock! The owner let us know it was being worked on by their technician and would be ready the following day. We went the next day and the very knowledgable technician showed us all of the features and games that were added to the system, while patiently answering all of our questions about game downloads usage. The owner was so friendly and gave us great recommendations for things to do/see in Victoria while we were visiting. The 3DS XL was priced very fairly and we have been using it all week with no issues. We could not be happier with our purchase and we have told everyone about our experience with the shop. I have been going here for years now. My original visit was looking for an old PS2 controller, which he had and quoted me $20. When I arrived about 20 mins later, I saw the controller in question, but it was marked $25. He said he remembered me from our conversation, and would honour the quoted price. That made me a returning customer. Recently I was looking for a long (+6 ft) cord with USB and micro USB ends, or an adaptor that could turn a USB-C into micro USB. None of the big electronic and game stores had what I needed. On a whim, I decided to try Hometech Games. Not only did he have the cord (its about 8 ft), but it was only $10.
