Phoenix Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Saanich

I like this place. Stopped in for a quick beer at the bar. Friendly bartender, older, blue collar working class atmosphere, but friendly and fun! Great music with variety. This is a friendly neighborhood pub. The regular crowd all seem to be on a first name basis with each other and are willing to engage in respectful, pleasant conversation. One thing for sure, you never know who you might meet. 😁 Next time I go to Phoenix Bar and Grill I plan on having some of their food - I have been told they make really good fish and chips. They have a chalkboard menu and I noticed yam fries are on it, as is a grilled chicken sandwich! Me, my friends, and several other women were groped by the same man at a show here last night. Multiple of us went up to the bar and asked for the man to be removed. The bartender did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, leaving one girl in tears. We had to escort him out OURSELVES. Ridiculous and unsafe. Once again. It was not one of us. He groped multiple people. Utterly disappointing that the staff chose to do nothing. EDIT: apparently my friend that escorted the man out is now “staff”! Worst service ever. We waited 35 minutes for wings on Wednesday. It was not even a full house, and we ordered 2 orders of wings. Easy enough right? Wrong. As we waited we decided to go elsewhere. So we asked our server to cancel our order. When she came back the order was cancelled but it was the huge ordeal. We asked for the bills as we had ordered a wrap, and beer that had come. But apparently we had to pay for wings we were not getting. The night goes on, we end up getting our wings but are charged a $2.50 take out fee for wings we didn't even want after waiting 35 minutes.
