I paid 74 dollars to get my mother and myself dinner, she ordered the shrimp sandwich with fries, I ordered a chicken, broccoli and cheese casserole and wanted Ceasars salad with it. And we split the new yorkies appy and my mom got a milkshake.....i worked as a chef at whitespot for 2 years. I know mlby heart how everything is made and exactly what and how much each dish has in ingredient. 1: shrimp sandwich had shredded lettuce (about 1 tablespoon worth-not the several layers of big pieces of lettuce it should have, so it got super soggy, they put next to no hotketchup on it as supposed to only have and instead added a bunch of mayo. Then there was without a doubt not a full portion of shrimp. 2: yorkies came without the au jus that was supposed to be added or giving to us to add at home 3: my casserole didn't come with the Jazmine rice at all.(thua dish costs 19$ and they claimed it didn't come with a side so I said Il pay extra to get a Ceasars with it. Receipt claims there is a side adter all and they chose to give me fries but not the riceand charged me for the salad side I asked for by the way had no parmasian cheese with it as it supposed to have...
I had to take the whole dinner apart down to each individual pieces and whipe off the old incorrect Ingredients, carefully separate the hot and cold and toasted elements to be prepared properly so I could rebuild it the proper way at home before I could give my mom her meal. As for me I guess I get to eat noodles in a cup tonight because I don't have rice st home and 1 Yorkie without gravy and a ceaser salad without parm isn't really the best and nice meal I was expecting. Tomorrow I am going into whitespot with the items that they completely made a mockery of the whitespot chain who goes out of their way for the line cooks to not be able to fail on such a grand and embarrassing scale. I will be expecting a complete refund or a complete remade intire meal before I leave and I will even remove this shameful review this restaurant has now. If they won't make it right by doing 1 of the 2 expectations, I will spend my few weeks informing customers outside of the poor customer service and disregard to proper culinary pride in the food...

hostess, Sonya, was nice-ish just asked "how many," i said 1, and hurriedly went to clean off a 2 person small booth. I must admit i do-not look approachable so ig i kinda asked to not be asked how im doing.
while i had waited for the table to be cleaned, i made eye contact with a red haired server by accident who looked stressed and thought i was being pushy. She just said mumbling, "it'll be a moment" and rushed off.
table was damp upon arrival, napkins had two small water spots. table and napkin dried within 5 min.
server, Jade, was kind and perky, been workin' there for 3 years, so i asked for recommendations. which she responded promptly. i have bad experiences with servers being rude or whatever most of the time because of my youth and single man no tip idk... but she didn't judge for once.

Read moreShowed up at 7:55 am. Opened the door and walked inside. The apparently locked door opened easily for us. I did not have any difficulty opening it. The server checked the door and said it was locked and the sign was on the door with the opening time. She was quite nasty when I asked if we could just wait inside until it opened (5 minutes). My 88 year old father was with us. I explained that we assumed they opened at 7:30 am as the one in Courtenay did. She then ignored us and walked away. Two other gentlemen walked in through the locked door with no problem and sat down with us to wait. The server got menus and then sarcastically commented "now we are open." I asked her if she was going to continue to make a federal issue of us arriving early. She responded that you would have to really pull hard to open the door. This was not the case. I told her that the two gentlemen who came in after she locked the door also had no problem coming in. She asked if she could bring us orange juice. I asked if she could change her attitude. She just repeated her question. Her attitude was awful. My husband actually wanted to leave after her rude treatment. If it wasn't for the fact that the walk in was hard enough for my Dad, we would have left. Shouldn't the White Spot be more concerned about a locked door that is easily opened? We will not be going back there again. The server was on her best behavior after that. Probably wanting to avoid...
