Some of the most mature rhododendrons you'll see in Victoria-- they're more trees than shrubs by this point with 6"+ wide trunks and huge canopies. Also has impressive camas/Gary oak restoration areas, well tended perimeter gardens of a variety of plants, a largish field for gatherings or picnics, a nice little playground for the kids, seasonal bathrooms, and short but sweet hikes around the oak areas and up a small hill with accessible paths.

It's a gorgeous spot to visit multiple times in spring -- there are some natural Gary Oak ecosystems, fawn lilies exploding, and the rhododendrons put on quite the show.
Popular for locals with their dogs. A group seems to meet every morning around 9AM at the lower field and are very welcoming with their off-leash furry friends that are generally very well socialized.
