It is Sunday July 6th and for the last week I’ve been checking the Popeyes on uber eats as it has a huge advertisement that says BOGO and shows 2 chicken burger ( I will attach all photos ). Not only is it 1 location but 2 different locations here in Victoria are advertising the same deal on their main profile pics then AGAIN at the top of the menu where you go to pick your foods you want to order. I kept thinking well maybe it’s my phone or account but I checked with 3 other people and got them to check their phones and they all saw exactly what I saw which is FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!! This is a BILLION dollar company and they are make FALSE ADVERTISEMENTS WHICH IS ILLEGAL. so I kept checking to see if maybe I missed something on the UBER EATS APP.
So I then decided to call a Popeyes near me and asked what the BOGO offer is ? I explained to the woman that their main advertisement plus the top of the menu advertised BOGO at both Popeyes in Victoria. Both clearly state BOGO & show a chicken sandwich. She wasn’t very friendly and just asked me to wait on hold for almost 5 mins then came back and said that promotion ended June 30th 2025. I said well it’s July 6 2025 and you’re still advertising BOGO and nothing is BOGO on the UBER EATS APP ??? I said to her that for such a large company that’s a big mistake on their part for FALSELY ADVERTISING BOGO when there are NONE. She just said she’ll call uber eats to let them know. In my opinion this is something that should have been done on June 30, 2025 when it ended. Not a week later when you get peoples hopes up to find out what they’re advertising is a LIE / SCAM. because I’m sure it helps to bring in customers on the uber eats app when the first thing they see on the main advertisement is BOGO and a chicken burger ??? I kinda feel like they should have honoured the deal they are offering. It’s their mistake and if I had not called many other people would be upset too. It wasn’t handled very professionally and I left that phone call knowing I won’t be ordering from Popeyes anymore and will be stating all the facts in a negative Google review. The right thing would have been to thank me for noticing it and maybe offer the BOGO deal to me since who knows if I’m the only one that noticed it ? Regardless I’m not happy with the customer service, the false advertising and the outcome. As a billion dollar company I’m sure someone has a job somewhere, where they need to change the main advertisements and the picture at the top of the ordering menu. Also I’ve added photos of “limited time offers and promos “ which assumed that’s where the BOGO would be ? I was incorrect obviously. I have a feeling it will be a while for them to correct it because it tricks people into going to their menu and searching through it to find the alleged “BOGO “ offer that clearly doesn’t exist. If that promotion ended a week ago then it should have been taken done when it ended. FALSE ADVERTISING is wrong and really bothers me because I feel like they are being dishonest , and trying to trick people to come look at their menu. I personally feel they know what they’re doing as a billion dollar company doesn’t make huge mistakes when it comes to false advertising. Not to mention if I had purchased a chicken burger and didn’t get a second for free I could sue under The Canadians competition act. I obviously no one would over a burger. But places like McDonald , Burger King Wendy’s ect could most definitely because they are advertising false information and those companies I named could have lost business due to people going to Popeyes thinking they’re getting a BOGO deal on chicken sandwiches only to be upset when only 1 sandwich arrives. Or because of the FALSE advertisement people may go to their menu instead of another fast food place because they think they’re getting a deal. I really hope to hear back from someone high up in the company over this because what you have been doing for week is FALSE ADVERTISING. You should have to stand behind what you advertise just like everyone...
Read moreBeen two times. First time, it was busy which was fine but the lack of leadership behind the counter was missing. My order was missing my order of fries, which I literally orders some chicken and a large fry. So half order missing and all sauces. I tried contacting them and got a reply that a manager would contact me if I gave them my number. No one did. So I went a second time. Round 2, one employee walked out and made a scene how badly the place is being ran. Wasnt greeted or asked what we wanted when at the till, was just stared at. Reached out to manager and she adv they would replace the fries on todays visit. Didnt offer anything else for the trouble. As soon as my order was taken, my dad was ordering after me and we said that. The kid working the front walked away to the side to where we can still see him and he started texting and claimed he was off and didnt eait for someone to take his position. No one offered to help or take over, again BIG lack of leadership on the floor. Eventually someone came to the till and just stared at us and didnt ask what they could get us. Got my order, checked it and its was wrong again! I tried to explain this to the kid who gave it to me and he just started to argue it right away isnt of listening and I wasnt mad at him jsut adv of missing items again! They forgot the fries again and sauces. Same for my dad, all sauces where missed. I wont be going again anytime soon until they get it together. They had so many people on the floor at least 8, not doing anything literally walking around like headless chickens. They were more concerned about covering a shift then dealing with the customers they had. They spoke like the customers couldnt hear them, so openly. The chicken was good and juicy, fries were...
Read moreThis is just all kinds of NO. From the cold, tasteless food, to the unhygienic conditions and food practices, I left feeling abused for the money I put out. We ordered two 3-piece meals and chose to dine-In (mistake). The chicken and fries were cold and the onion rings were cold and soggy. The portions were extremely small as well. I think I had 7 french fries in total. Can't imagine the temperature of the take out orders. The place was packed with no distancing protocols and the staff were sitting right behind us doing interviews or a meeting without masks on. The kid who took our order had just been moping floors and taking money with his gloves on...but proceeded to use the same gloves to stick his fingers in the top of our beverage cups. Covid or not...that's gross. Our meals were so bad we only ate about half and threw them out. Sidenote...there was a young kid waiting for an interview near our table. The only one wearing a mask and waiting politely while distancing. The other interviewees were obnoxious, bumping in to people and not wearing masks. When the mgr came out, he asked this very polite kid how old he was and when he said "14" he told him they were only taking 16 and over. Felt bad because he made this kid wait so long to just send him away, while the ones that stayed probably won't be half the employee the 14 year old would have been. Not surprised considering the staff they already have. Will never return. I just felt gross and still hungry after leaving there. Try Thunderbird Korean Chicken...it's a million times better. Consistently hot and crispy with...
