Went back tonight and tried a couple favorites, the Meat-lovers and the Italian Pizza. They were great! The cheese does taste fully like 100% real cheese. The same old flavors were there and the Pizzas were made with care. My whole family noticed and we enjoyed it very much again. I also noticed how great the customer service was. I am not sure who had a bad experience, but I thought the staff were lovely. The previous owners were so warm and welcoming too. For anyone who was originally disappointed in the change in ownership, I would suggest you do what we did and give them another try. I think you will find the Pizza to be much more like the Q pizza you always loved. We will be back.
I'm going to try it again and will update my review later. changing starts to neutral.
New ownership - It just is not the same. Sadly, the new owners do not use 100% real cheese anymore and it is very noticeable. The marinara sauce also taste sweeter than before. The recipes are the same, with a few new pizzas on the menu. It might be the same type of ingredients, but it is not the same brands and quality of ingredients as the previous owners used. The reduced quality of ingredients probably is an effort to reduce cost and increase profit. It is a shame. This used to be the best pizza place on the island and was my family's Friday night every week and my kids loved it. Since the new ownership, my kids noticed the change in quality and taste right away and we decided to find a different...
Read moreIf you're in pursuit of exceptional takeout pizza, look no further than Q Pizza 2 For 1 near Royal Oak. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and presented with a delightful selection of four immediately available, fresh slices—a testament to their commitment to quality. What struck me was the pleasantly surprising affordability without compromising on portion sizes.
Their standard crust, a soft yet perfectly balanced medium thickness, became a canvas for an explosion of excellent flavors meticulously prepared. The level of doneness achieved the ideal harmony—providing a subtle crispness while maintaining a foldable, mess-free delight. The sauce, a harmonious blend that hit all the right notes, paired flawlessly with the well-balanced cheese, beautifully golden brown and expertly cooked to perfection.
I must commend their attention to detail; the pineapple topping, cooked to an ideal caramelized finish, highlighted the precision in their baking temperatures. Q Pizza has truly mastered the art of delivering a flawless pizza experience—one that often goes overlooked in Victoria. In my humble opinion, this gem deserves far more recognition for its outstanding...
Read moreI'm from the east coast of Canada. When traveling, I'm always on the hunt for local pizza. This brings me to Q Pizza. It had good reviews online, so I decided to give it a try.
Firstly, this pizza place is located in a small strip mall with limited parking.
This is a take out pizza place. While there are 3 stools inside, it doesn't lend itself to be a place where you'd stay to dine in.
I didn't pre order, and once I ordered, they said it would be about 20 mins. Sure enough it was ready in 20 mins.
The person working the cash was friendly. When I ordered, he asked if I wanted any drinks or dipping sauces, which I declined.
When he came out with my hot fresh pizza he offered me a dipping sauce for free. I declined, but thanked him.
I drove back to my hotel which was 3 minutes away and my pizza was still hot.
The pizza was perfect. I like the cheese to have slight browning, which this pizza had. I ordered a medium Meat Lovers, which had all the typical meats on it. I really enjoyed the pizza. If I had to compare it to anything else I've had, I'd say it's similar to Pizza Hut, but better.
If you're looking for good pizza and you're in the area, check...
