Pho Halong — Restaurant in Saanich

I find it hard to believe that there are bad reviews for this restaurant. ( I guess it is impossible to please everyone ) my wife and I used to go to a Vietnamese restaurant on fort street called Saigon nights that had incredibly good food. they closed during covid and never re opened, then we found out that the cooks from Saigon Nights went to Pho Halong after Saigon Nights closed and the food is exactly the same great taste and quality as Saigon Nights had. we get take out from Pho Halong as well as sit in on a regular basis and the food there is so good. we love it there. the food is so fresh and great tasting, the service is great and the atmosphere when we eat in is great. First time there. The service was up to par. The the dishes I ordered were expensive but again with COVID prices may have increased due to it. The vermicelli dishes I ordered were below par. The chicken was too salty. I paid extra $3 to to add pork to a second order,, to my surprise there it had less chicken than the other order The pork was well seasoned. The Vegetables were fresh and crunchy. As for the sprouts and the vermicelli, they were cooked, cold, tasteless and looked that sat there for a while. I would not recommend them. Had high expectations for this place based on the other reviews but unfortunately it fell short. Staff was friendly at the counter but for nearly $30 for takeout pho and shrimp salad rolls, you’d think they have some sort of quality control and not forget ingredients that should be in your soup.
