Roundhouse Café — Restaurant in Saanich

Small cafe located right across from playground. Has different options including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free products. I went on Friday at 11:30am and Saturday at 9:50am but nearly all of the vegan and gluten free products were sold out (and they don't carry full menu possibly due to COVID). They also have many drinks to choose from with some dairy alternatives for vegans. I got a small hot chocolate + very last vegetarian roll on Friday, Medium Mocha + sausage roll (+ 2x egg/cheese breakfast sandwiches which were made from scratch with Medium Cappuccino with almond milk for the family) on Saturday. Everything tasted good. Small and cozy sitting area indoors and nice patio space with umbrellas/cover from rain with a fountain outdoors. If you have dietary restrictions I'd recommend calling them first or arriving much earlier in the day to get their vegan/gluten free food. I spoke to one of the staff (owner?) and they mentioned that they are individually own cafe but have other locations in Victoria (downtown?) under the name QV cafe so if you're not in this part of town but wanna support local business you can always try one of their...

Great coffee, wonderful staff and one of the best coffee patios in the city. I love grabbing a specialty coffee and a snack while enjoying the sun and looking across the road to one of Saanich's most popular neighbourhood parks. The patio is surrounded by a really nice garden full of content (non agrressive/scary) bees. I really like the atmosphere here too. I don't feel like I have to bring my Macbook Pro and work on my break out novel while balancing that fine line of cool and ironically nerdy. But if I wanted to I would feel very comfortable and welcome while doing it. The owners are often working there and are two of the kindest people I have met. They feature an award for overall exceptional customer service on their front desk yet they managed to make a half a dozen mistakes on an order for 3 snacks and 2 drinks. We actually dumped out our coffee and Americano after because they were so bad (watery and really unappealing flavour). I asked them to break a ten dollar bill for tipping and they gave me $5 in change and mistakenly tried to keep $5 (not intentionally but I had to explain a couple times that I needed my other $5 back as well).
