I want to share my dissatisfaction with a restaurant in st eustache that’s supposed to be a 4.4 star. The name is sakara chi on industrial boulevard. I ordered take out (3 sushi plates, 1 chicken and shrimp pad Thai and 1 chicken chop suey). Expecting a great meal at 83$, i got some dry sticky sushi with no taste, a chicken chop suey with barely any chicken and a taste of a recooked plate which is a tiny portion and even at that, I left half of it and threw the rest out. The last plate was pad Thai with chicken and shrimp, everything was sticking together, very dry and there was a lump of pad thai noodles that was cooked separately from the rest of the noodles. It was a chicken and shrimp pad Thai, yet there was 1 shrimp and again barely any chicken. I don’t know if these meals were reheated or newly cooked but there was simply no taste to it and the texture was not very appealing. My frustration is not only did I get a horrible meal but the 83$ I spent on it could have been given to a homeless person or homeless shelter rather than throw it out the window. I have a business in st eustache and I always drive by the restaurant and wanted to try out their 4.4 Star service but even being very generous, I would not even give...
Read moreThis used to be one of our favorite local spots, but unfortunately, it has gone downhill. Prices have increased, portions have shrunk, and the food was underwhelming at best. The spring roll was greasy and over-fried with a tasteless filling. The General Tao was bland and slightly chewy.
As for the service, we were asked to change tables shortly after being seated. The managing lady approached us, started taking our menus, and abruptly told us to move to another table, with no apology or explanation—just a strong “get moving” vibe. We later realized she needed our table to accommodate a larger group, which we didn’t mind, but it was handled with no tact. Thankfully, our assigned waiter was kind, polite, and even apologized for the inconvenience.
The managing lady eventually did apologize when it was time to pay, but by then, we just wanted out.
TIP: Bring your own wine to soften the disappointment. VIBE: Slippery floors and tables with cracked finished. They have a nice private room...
Read moreThe menu is too big and everything is average. In reality it's asian fusion + sushi. So there's actually 2 big menus, one for each category. Very confused.
We tried the fried money bag dumplings with peanut butter sauce, the pairing is not great and the sauce is given in a small quantity. The sushi was ok and nicely presented but it took a very long time to get to us. The mayo sauce had a tangy taste to it. I've had plenty of it at other establishments and this was the first time that it tasted off. Im not sure if it was the sauce or the sushi but something didn't sit well with me. Personally regretted going there but it was a learning experience.
Conclusion : White washed asian restaurant with mediocre food. It'll satisfy a craving if you can't drive further but it's also disappointing if you are used to eating real Asian food. Staff is nice...
