Jardin Chow Mein — Restaurant in Saint-Lambert

There are very few times that I leave a bad review for places but this is definitely one of them. We happened to place a carry out order from here and we were extremely disappointed. It was kinda busy so we had to wait quite a while for our order to be taken and for the food. The lady that took our order was very short with us and I would say she was kinda rude. Once we got back to our hotel and opened the container our food just didn’t look or smell very good. At first I thought it might just be because it’s not what we’re use to in the US. We still gave it a chance and tried the food and it was not for us. I got pan fried dumplings that were burnt on the outside and underdone inside so they were pretty inedible. We also ordered 2 combo platters and we didn’t like any of the food. It was so frustrating that we spent $45 on food there just to have to go to McDonalds. I wouldn’t say we’re super picky people either but we were very concerned if the food was actually safe for us to eat. We ordered the number 4 combo and were quite happy to know they give 3 egg rolls per person and when we got the food we started with the soups and then started the rest of the meal and found it to be quite mediocre and were not impressed and that was ok for The price so we weren't making a big deal about it until we got to the egg rolls and then it was another story. They were horrible I swear they smelled like a wet dog or cat and the mix inside tasted just the way it smelled it was like we couldn't spit it out fast enough before gagging. I called the restaurant and told the owner about it and he just brushed it off saying " oh noh noh ploblem wit da eggwoll we sell many today you fust complain" and I said you must be kidding me could you have maybe by mistake have used some bad cabbage or something but after talking to him for a couple of minutes I realized that he wouldn't do anything about it and I told him he just lost a customer...

DO NOT ORDER THERE!!! I walked in not knowing the reviews were this bad. I ordered beef with mushrooms for takeout. When I got home I saw there was no mushrooms and the beef was RAW!!!!! It was purple on the inside. I had already ate a couple pieces and i'm now scared i'll be sick. I called them and they told me it wasn't my order that they did a mistake in the orders. I had to drive back and exchange it to a chow mein noodle plate. It had no flavour, the chicken had a cigarette smoke taste disgusting. So frustrating. And they didn't put any fortune cookies in both orders. And the lady at the front is the rudest. She never apologized, was rude to me like the error was my fault.
