Extremely Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend

Our visit to this restaurant was a complete disaster from start to finish. It began when the waiter misstepped and actually fell onto our table, spilling half of a beer and soaking my daughter’s phone with water in the process. Shockingly, he didn’t even apologize for the incident, nor did anyone from the staff acknowledge the inconvenience or offer any compensation. They didn’t even bother replacing the spilled beer—we were left with a half-empty bottle and zero accountability. As if that wasn’t enough, when the food finally arrived, things only got worse. There was a hair in the club sandwich, which is absolutely unacceptable. Again, no one from the staff showed any real concern or effort to make things right. The lack of hygiene and customer care was truly appalling. To top it all off, after we paid and chose not to leave a tip, one of the staff members actually followed us as we were leaving the restaurant and asked, “Just double-checking—why did you leave zero tip?” We explained that our experience was unacceptable and listed everything that had gone wrong. Their only response was, “Oh well, we hope next time you’ll have a better experience.” No apology, no ownership, just a dismissive comment and a clear lack of concern. The lack of professionalism, courtesy, and basic customer service was unbelievable. A restaurant is not just about the food—it's about the experience, and unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. Went there for lunch today. Sat on the terrasse, beautiful. Staff is excellent. Food is something different tho. I ordered a chicken quesadilla. A bit burned around the edges. Chicken, veggies and cheese ok inside, but no taste. Very bland tasting. My hubby ordered a “croque-monsieur” which is a toasted sandwich with ham tomatoes and cheese. He also had a chicken noodle soup. Somehow 1/2 h after finishing his meal, his stomach started to gurgle. It is now 3 hours later and he still feels sick. Many trips to the bathroom. Too bad. This Mediterranean small restaurant with a decor of yesteryear, but warm and friendly. It also has a narrow terrace facing park Filion next to the church, and the stage where from May to October visitors can enjoy the free concerts, and good simple food. Not expensive.
