Italcaffe Jura - Delonghi - Rocket - Miele — Restaurant in Sainte-Thérèse

This review pertains to purchasing online as I haven't been to the store in person. The Philips Superautomatic Espresso machine I ordered was on sale at Italcaffe at the lowest advertised online price in Canada. Italcaffe also included free shipping to another Province via Purolater (it actually took less than 48 hours to arrive). The machine arrived brand new and exactly as described on Italcaffes website, it was NOT an open box or previously returned machine. Additionally before buying I had e-mailed back and forth with Italcaffe a few times asking questions and confirming details, they were always quick to reply and provided thorough answers. To top that all off Italcaffe also included 1 kg of Coffee Beans and an extra water filter at no cost. That is about all I could possibly ask for from a retailer, everything they said they would do happened. Based on my experience I have no hesitation recommending them to online customers. On another note, the Philips Lattego 5400 model I purchased from Italcaffe has met my expectations without difficulty. It is our 3rd Espresso machine, bought to upgrade from a Lattego 3200 model and before that a Delonghi Magnifica. We do not want a machine that can also make cold coffee beverages so for us this 5400 model is everything you could want in a Superautomatic Espresso maker. We also don’t see ourselves ever moving away from the Philips Lattego style machine, they are just so easy to maintain while producing excellent quality drinks. The only drawback is that we almost never go out to Starbucks or other Coffee shops anymore as what we have at home is just as good and I’d say even better. At first I was going to bring my 2 Saeco machines somewhere else to repair but after reading Google reviews of Italcaffe I decided to bring the machines here, despite it is 40 km away from where I live, a decision which I did not regret at all.

Anny, at the service counter is the sweetest person one can meet. The technician (sorry I didn't get his name) called 2 weeks later for an update on one machine since the repair cost was more than 100$, he too was very nice and polite. Giovanni, the owner, is also very friendly and courteous.

My 2 machines are ready after 3 weeks and work like new except for one machine that makes very light coffee, I don't have time to ask yet but I am sure Italcaffe will be more than happy to fix/adjust the machine for me.

Despite all the good reviews online and recommendations from family to go to ItalCaffe, I must reluctantly admit my ordinary experience. I take off one star because one of the technicians forgot to put back the dump box in the machine, therefore I couldn’t get it working anymore. Another star is for the same part which they didn't wanted to ship for free, they charge 15$+tx for shipping cost knowing that it was clearly a mistake from them.
