We were dying for some quick food on a hot July afternoon after exploring the area while on vacation. We planned to do some shopping and head to the beach so wanted to grab something to go rather than a sit down restaurant lunch. After we bought fruit at the farmers market we stopped at The Yukon Smash food truck (trailer?) after being enticed by the aroma of grilling beef and onions, how could we resist even though I'm not a fan of onions. It wasn't long before our meal was ready and we took it to eat in the car as we headed off to the beach. I did get a chance to snap a photo of my very perfectly cooked, crispy and caramelized burger. Don't let the plain appearance fool you, I enjoy them that way but Yukon Smash had a ton of fresh toppings available, I'm just one of those picky eaters. I do judge a restaurant on it's basic burger with house sauce though and this place gets 5 stars and a future return visit. (We also had pops, chicken fingers, fries and tasty gravy)

Read moreOn the was to Vancouver island the smash burger sign caught our eye. Man was I so happy to have made the stop! One of the best burgers I’ve had! The food was ready in like 6 minutes but done amazingly! Toppings were fresh, the patty had that amazing smash burger crust, really liked their sauce and bun was incredibly perfect keeping all the moisture in and not falling apart. I was floored! Poutine was super good as well! Will definitely stop by when driving through...
Read moreTerrific smash burger, they have perfected what they offer and it is worth the drive if you are a fan of crispy juicy beef. The buns were also outstanding, perfect match for the special sauce and grilled onions. Also, the fries are terrific, super crispy outside and fluffy interior. All around it is a delight to eat at The Yukon Smash, and with the market right there you can grab some fresh fruit and a cool drink for after your indulgent meal....
