Let me start by saying I love getting out and trying local food. But the experience tonight was brutal. I ordered the Veggie Phish Tacos. I was careful when I ordered to ask if anything was spicy with the tacos because I cannot have anything spicy. The server said no and then I proceeded to order them and get the mashed potatoes with it. After the food arrived, I quickly noticed the nice presentation. But after 1 bite, I thought, man that was spicy. Then I thought to myself, well the server wouldn't lie to me, so I had another bite. It was also spicy and then I tapped out. I was tricked by the server. Then I looked and noticed they add jalapenos to the tacos but on the menu it doesn't even say jalapenos. She never came and asked how the food was until the end when she came and I said the tacos were too spicy and she just said "sorry". So I paid $18+ tax for a meal that was spicy after I was told it wouldn't be spicy and then I had to go home and make something else for dinner. They also had a promo on the tables that read Kids eat free Sundays. They tried to charge us because they apparently forgot to take down that promo card but the manager was nice enough to honour the promotions they advertise. Which to me is common sense. So hopefully they change their ways and actually take requests seriously. If someone can't eat spicy food at all, don't just lie to the customer and say "It's not spicy", take it seriously and go to the kitchen and ask. Time to change all the menus and change the name to Spicy Veggie Phish Tacos. But I doubt that will happen, because money over integrity. 0/5. Don't recommend it. Many better restaurants in Sarnia with much better service, prices and food.

Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience at Paddy Flaherty’s in Sarnia. My husband and I went to have some food and drinks. I was carrying a canned cocktail I was already drinking before arriving. I understand that outside alcohol is not allowed, and I have no problem with that rule. However, from the beginning, the server’s attitude was very unfriendly. While serving my husband’s beer, she accidentally spilled all the seasoning (Tajín) inside the glass. My husband politely pointed it out, but she just replied “yeah, okay” in a rude and dismissive way—she didn’t apologize or offer to fix it. Later, I placed the can I was drinking on the table. Without saying anything, the server just grabbed it and tossed it aside, without even politely explaining that outside alcohol wasn’t allowed. I would have understood if she had just communicated it kindly. Then, my husband ordered a drink for me, and she asked who it was for. When he said it was for me, she immediately said “No.” My husband tried to clarify, but she firmly refused to serve me. I understand I made a mistake by bringing an outside drink, but that does not justify the rude and unprofessional behavior we experienced. Customers deserve to be treated with basic courtesy, no matter the situation. Very disappointing experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Paddy Flaherty's, a charming pub located on the harbour in Sarnia, Ontario. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere that set the stage for a wonderful evening. Our evening started with a round of expertly crafted drinks. The selection of beverages was impressive, catering to a variety of tastes. Whether you're a fan of classic cocktails, local brews, or fine wines, Paddy Flaherty's has something for everyone. For dinner, we enjoyed a delicious meal that exceeded our expectations. The menu offered a delightful array of options, and every dish was prepared to perfection. The flavors were rich, and the portions were generous, ensuring we left satisfied. To top off our experience, we indulged in dessert, which was a sweet ending to a perfect meal. The dessert menu featured a variety of tempting treats, and each bite was a testament to the chef's skill. Overall, our supper at Paddy Flaherty's was an absolute delight. The combination of great food, excellent drinks, and a beautiful harbour view made for an unforgettable evening. I highly recommend this pub to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in Sarnia.

I've been to a few Fionn MacCools and the like. They are all amazing establishments where I've eaten good food. However, this location seems to miss the mark... I've been going to Paddy Flaherty's since my hotel is literally in the exact same spot, and while the service is typically good, and the "vibes" are great, they (always) seem to drop the ball when it comes to parts of my food order.

Most of their fried stuff is obviously frozen, as I've brought a few orders back to my room that are basically still ice in the center. Some fish can be gummy in the center still. The steak is great. However, it is suffice to say, since they always seem to mess up my sides and things that are supposed to come with the order (ie. raw veggies, coleslaw, tartar sauces, salads, etc.).

Now whoever is cooking in the back obviously sounds like they're having fun, which is great for them, but I'm not having much fun with my food not being well taken care of.

It's a shame to see that some of them seem to have a lot of time to be smoking on their vapes out back, but not enough time (again, always) to dedicate themselves get the fried foods, sides, and condiments right...

Again, service, steak, and place are great. Just needs more attention to get accurate/fully cooked...
