A&W Canada — Restaurant in Saskatoon

A&W has stopped using plastic straws in an effort to reduce single use plastic. When this became a trend, the reasoning was to stop killing sea turtles . If my straw can be used in my drink and then goes on to kill a turtle, that is not single use then is it? Besides, I live in Saskatchewan. Did they ship our used straws to the ocean in the past? Well, now that that crisis has been averted, can we at least get a paper staw that doesn't have the consistency of a toilet paper tube. I could hardly taste my root beer because the staw had such a strong taste. Can we at least get a lid that we can drink out of without a staw if that is what you are going to give us? With the price of A&W I expect a premium staw. One made from the finest turtle...

Okay so i came to the 22nd street A&W and i was with my friend, she ordered a veggie burger and i ordered fries for myself. I had a McDonald’s bag with me that had my chicken burgers. So we sat down at one of the tables and i was eating peacefully with my friend when a worker, her name was Janace came up to me and said you cannot eat McDonalds here and i was like “what? You are not serious, are you?” And she said “if you want to eat McDonalds go across the street or I’ll garbage it” I told her that my friend has got A&W and i got fries too, it’s not like I’m sitting here eating something else while not buying anything from here and she showed me hella amount of attitude. Such a terrible service. NEVER...

I usually go somewhere else. First time here. OUTSTANDING customer service. Loved the food !!! Lots of windows; which let the sunsine in; in every direction and creates an amazing ambience. Loved it. STAFF excelent. They should be paid more than just a crappy minimun wage; as their service is so friendly ; always with a smile. I can tell "they DO leave their personal problems at home", something not everyone does. Sadly; your company like many companies in the food industry; don't value your employees; they don't get increased wages; incentives, bonuses. NOTHING. Employees are just "numbers"; as they can be replaced easily and I ever doubt your company will change that policy.
